February 2004

Greetings from Vero Beach !

I want to thank all of you who have taken the time to write or call concerning the last newsletter. It blesses my heart to know that so many of us are hearing and flowing as one. It is also a blessing to hear all the various testimonies pertaining to the word in that newsletter. The Lord is on the move! Hallelujah!

I can’t begin to tell you how many have made the remark that the newsletters are becoming stronger, and more heavily anointed, each month. Please know that it is often very painful to write the letters because I know they are being used to bring conviction and change. Nevertheless, I can only say as Paul said, “My letters have been straightforward, and with nothing hidden between the lines. They are easily understood.” May I say that it is the Lord who brings forth the subject matter of each newsletter. My job is to be obedient to my calling, and write what He gives me, so that His people might be awakened and set free in this hour. This is the year of release! This is the year of freedom! Praise His Name!

After the newsletter has been sent out, and I begin to hear how the Lord has ministered to so many of you, like Paul I can say, “I am no longer sorry that I sent that letter to you, though I was sorry for a time, for I know that it was painful to you for a little while. Now I am glad that I sent it, not because it hurt you, but because the pain led to repentance.” And that’s what it is all about. Repentance!!! God wants repentance from all of us, and very few believers want to hear the word ‘repent’.

We are all gearing up here in Florida for the Gathering of the Intercessors, February 6th and 7th at the Vero Beach Inn. We have intercessors coming to join us from Connecticut, Missouri, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and from all over Florida. He has been drawing together those of like call to birth in to existence His plans and purposes in this hour. It promises to be a very powerful time in the Lord. Once again, He has promised us an open heaven!

The past three or four weeks, the Lord has kept me in I Samuel, the first seven chapters. It has been quite interesting to read, listen, and hear what He is saying as I’ve meditated on this passage of Scripture. It is a very prophetic word for us in this hour. Please read it prayerfully.

In the beginning of the first chapter of I Samuel, we are introduced to a man named Elkanah and his family. Elkanah had two wives, Peninnah and Hannah. Peninnah had given him children, but Hannah had not.

We’re told that Peninnah would mock and taunt Hannah because she was barren. It would literally reduce Hannah to tears, and then she would refuse to eat. I believe that we can see some of the bitter effects of polygamy in all of this, and jealousy too. We’re told that when Elkinah made the sacrifices at the Tabernacle, he would give portions to Peninnah and her children, but he always gave a double portion to Hannah, for he loved her deeply, even though she had given him no children.

Each year Elkinah would take his family to Shiloh to worship and make their sacrifices to the Lord at the Tabernacle. The priests at that time were the two sons of Eli, the High Priest. The names of his sons were Hophni and Phinehas.

One time, when they were at Shiloh , Hannah’s grief took her to the Tabernacle to pray to the Lord. Eli was sitting at the entrance, and he was watching Hannah as she was praying. We’re told that she was in deep anguish, crying bitterly as she prayed.

When Eli saw this he immediately accused her of being drunk. However, Hannah explained to him that she was pouring out her heart before the Lord in prayer. She told him that she had been praying out of great anguish and sorrow. Once she explained to Eli that she was not drunk, but simply in deep intercession, he prayed that God would grant her the request she had made of Him.  And we all know that He did. God gave her a son named, Samuel. (“Heard by God”).

When Samuel was weaned, his parents took him to the Tabernacle at Shiloh . After they had made their sacrifices, Hannah took him to Eli, and shared with Eli a bit of her testimony. Then she left Samuel with Eli to be separated unto the Lord for the rest of his life, just as she had vowed to do. Samuel would be raised and trained up in the Presence of the Lord.

Even though we are told that Eli and his sons were deep in sin, Samuel had praying parents, and the Lord covered the child in the midst of all the sin. God grew him up strong, and He made Samuel an over-comer. Samuel was not isolated, but separated unto the Lord. He was a living sacrifice, if you will, and he experienced God’s transforming power.

Now the Lord has shown me that Hannah is a type of the true Church. Her name in the Hebrew means “grace”. She was a godly mother, a woman of prayer, who offered God her very best, which was her only son at that time, and she kept the vow that she had made to the Lord when she asked for the child. Hannah gave God all of the glory when she said, “For this child I prayed!”

Eli is a type of the Religious System. As High Priest, he judged Hannah severely, even though he and his own sons were in sin. We’re told that his sons were deep in sin, Eli knew it, and he would not discipline them. This is hypocracy! The Lord said, “Religious people never do discern by the Spirit!”

Eli was the High Priest, but he was also a careless father, who honored his sons above the Lord, which is idolatry. He refused to face facts and obey the Word of the Lord. He refused to restrain his sons, pampering them instead. His warnings were weak, certainly not a substitute for discipline.

Again, Eli was a type of the Religious System, and his sons are a type of the Catholic Church and the Protestant Church . They were ungodly priests! They put their own needs ahead of the Word of God, and the needs of the people. They were both overbearing and lustful.

The Scriptures tell us that the sins of the two sons of Eli were very serious. They had no respect for the Lord, or their duties as priests. They treated the Lord’s offerings with contempt, and they seduced the young women who assisted at the entrance of the Tabernacle.  “We cannot trifle with the sacred privileges of God’s House!”

In contrast, Samuel was a devoted son. He was quick to obey when he was called. He had grown up in the Presence of the Lord, and learned how to serve in the Tabernacle, but had not had a personal experience with the Lord. One night, while resting on the floor in the Tabernacle, the Lord called Samuel by name, and he responded.

After Samuel responded to the call of God, the Lord spoke a message to him for Eli and his family. It was a message of judgment on Eli’s house. Since Eli was in disobedience by putting his sons first, God would not speak directly to him. He considered Eli an accomplice to his sons in their sins. Therefore, He spoke to Samuel, who walked in great humility, and carried the burden of the Lord within his heart. God knew that Samuel would be faithful! When God spoke to Samuel, instead of speaking to Eli, everyone knew, including Samuel, that God was rejecting Eli and his family.

Until that time, God had not been speaking to the people. However, now they knew that Samuel was God’s prophet, and the Lord was with him. Now the Lord would speak to them once again, because He had a servant He could trust. One who would bring forth whatever the Lord gave him, regardless of the cost.

At first Samuel was afraid to give the message to Eli, but Eli pressed him for it. Samuel held nothing back when he shared the Word of the Lord with Eli. The Word was: “I AM about to do a shocking thing in Israel . I AM going to carry out all My threats against Eli and his family. “I have warned him continually that judgment is coming for his family, because his sons are blaspheming Me, and he has not disciplined them. So I have vowed that the sins of Eli and his sons will never be forgiven by sacrifices or offerings.” Church, “Our sins can have very serious consequences!”

*** Now keep in mind that Eli is a type of the Religious system, and his two sons are a type of the Catholic and Protestant Churches . God is saying that He has warned them continually of pending judgment, but they have ignored Him.

At that time, Israel was at war. The Philistines attacked and defeated Israel , killing 4,000 men. After they got back to the camp, they tried to figure out why the Lord had allowed them to be defeated. So they decided to take the Ark of the Covenant with them, for surely if they would do that, they would be saved from their enemies. In other words, try your own way first, and if that doesn’t work, then try God! How often we do that, Church!

Instead of holding the Ark of the Covenant in reverence, which was a symbol of God’s Presence, they used it as a religious relic. They truly thought the presence of the Ark would assure their victory, but their superstitious faith had no foundation. They should have known that God’s Presence with them depended upon putting away their idols, opening their hearts to Him, and obeying His Word. Church, We must beware of trying to use God, if our life is not yielded to Him!

*** God will not reveal His power on behalf of His sinning people, and He will not allow His Glory to be mocked, or His Holy Name to be defiled by His enemies.

The Ark was captured and taken to a heathen temple where it was displayed with all of their religious relics. The fish god, Dagon, fell face down before the presence of the Ark. They stood it back up again, and it fell face down again, breaking off everything but the trunk. They all knew this was not a coincidence! God was vindicating His Holy Name!

The hand of the Lord came down hard on every city that they took the Ark in to. The Lord sent plagues of boils and mice upon the people. Immediately the people would want the Ark out of their city. So they would take it to another. Finally, they decided to take it back where it belonged. Once again, God defended His Holy Name!

The Ark was returned, and it brought great joy! However, the people had not returned to God. Privilege entails responsibility, and their curiosity and lack of reverence had to be corrected. Reverence for God Himself demanded the most careful behavior toward the Ark of His Presence, and when this was lacking, swift judgment ensued.

When the Ark was returned, It had only two stone tablets in it. Aaron’s rod that budded and the golden pot that had manna were no longer in it.

Now Aaron’s rod that budded was a prophetic picture of apostolic power and authority. The golden pot that had manna was a prophetic picture of the highly anointed Bread of Life in the form of teaching at a new level. All these articles in the Ark were symbolic of Christ the Anointed One. These are still missing ingredients in the Church today!

Now Hophni (Type of Catholic Church) and Phinehas (Type of Protestant Church) thought they could win victories by trusting the Ark of the Covenant when their lives were wicked. Not so, Church! God killed them!

Eli’s daughter-in-law also died giving birth to a son named, Ichabod, which means the glory has departed. The Lord said, “This is the condition of the Church today!”

Eli died for not disciplining his sons, who were dishonoring God.

The Philistines died because they treated God like one of their own religious relics.

The men of Beth Shemesh died for looking in to the Ark.

Church, It does not pay to trifle with God! Reverence is demanded for symbols of His Presence!

Samuel was brought on the scene when the priesthood was decayed, the nation defeated, and God’s glory was departed. Samuel called the people to ‘repentance!’ When he did, they put away their false gods, and then met to renew their covenant with God.

Just as God prepared and raised up Samuel in the hidden away place until time to reveal him as His Mouthpiece, so He has been preparing and raising up those He will speak through in these End Times. They have been in that hidden away place for a long time, but now He is beginning to reveal them and send them forth. They, too, are calling for repentance. They are nameless, faceless people who are completely sold out to the Lord.

Samuel was born out of prayer, and he lived in dependence on prayer, and so should we!

……

2004 - 1. We will see a return of the Glory of God in the form of new levels of anointing in
teaching.

           2. We will see new levels of apostolic authority and power manifested through His Chosen Vessels.

           3. We will see a new level of prophetic ministry like Samuel’s where, “The Lord let none of his words drop to the ground”

            4. We will see a major blow to both the Catholic and Protestant Churches . The blow to the Catholic Church will be more severe.

“The Church as a whole must return to her proper foundation! I will make known the true roots of Christianity in 2004.”

 .......

There is severe judgment coming to the Church leaders who have not repented. They will be publicly exposed of their impure and unrighteous motives.

There will come My rod of discipline upon those who refuse to humble themselves before Me.  I AM with the humble and contrite of spirit, but not the proud.

Hypocracy and insincerity in the ministry will be openly displayed in the days to come.

All too many in Christian leadership act like CEOs instead of the shepherds I have called them to be. They will be terminated by the Holy Spirit.

Many believers will loose their faith because of the exposures. Why? Very simply because their idols have fallen. We must not idolize our pastor or any other ministry leader. We should respect them, yes, but do not put them on a pedestal. We must put our trust in God, and not in any man or woman. We must stay focused and pressed in to the Lord. He and He alone is to be lifted up!

Woe to the shepherds not after My making or calling! (Ezekiel 34). Many have been set in place by man, and they are without true spiritual authority. They will not be able to stand, but shall soon be removed!

Woe to those leaders who refuse to confront sin because they are fearful of loosing tithe, or their standing in ministry!

Woe to those who do not walk in truth! Woe to those who do not perceive My servants by the Spirit! I will surely call them to account! Many will be removed from given positions!

*** There will be a greater demonstration of the supernatural, and in areas of provision, for all those who are walking with Me!

Those who refuse to come out of the worldly religious systems of man will become the worst persecutors of My Chosen, beloved Remnant. This is a day when a distinct line shall be drawn between those who function according to the dictates of religion, and those who have heard the call of My Spirit to come out of religion, and in to an intimate relationship with Me. It is time to make a decision! Follow Me! or Follow man!

I will come and dismantle the buildings of man, and completely destroy their agendas. I will uproot pulpits of man. I will uproot worship teams, and put My worshippers in the assembly.

I asked Him to expound on this and He told me that He will target those who have built enormous structures for people to gaze upon and worship with their eyes. He said that He is disgusted with those who have used the pulpit as the centerpiece for their performance. Also He spoke of worship teams who perform to distract others in the congregation trying to worship. He wants all men off of the pedestals and platforms. He said that there is far too much division between ministry positions. None of us is more important than anyone else. We are all on equal footing in the eyes of the Lord.

The Lord went on to say that the Church has been in the dark ages. They have been without My Light! They have been without My Truth! They have been without the wind of My Spirit!

Those who truly seek Me, and gather in My Name, I will set free of religious formats! It is My desire to bring light and liberty to the captives, and a free flow of My Spirit. The Church I AM building looks nothing like what man has built.

Those who have been through the fire many times, and have been found faithful, will stand in My Presence to teach the difference between that which is holy, and that which is common, that which is clean and unclean. My Living Word coming forth from their mouths will be full of My power and My authority!

Those whom I AM sending out as My Mouthpiece in this hour, will begin to shake the dust off their feet against those who have refused the Word of Warning, and call to repentance, that I have given them to speak in My Name. This will bring a curse upon those who have rejected them. My people perish for lack of knowledge, yet when I have sent My sons and daughters to them to bring correction and knowledge, they rejected them. Oh what a dangerous thing they have done!!! My Word says that My people are being destroyed because they don’t know Me,. Hosea 4:6 tells us that it is the fault of the priests for they refuse to know Him. He goes on to say, in that passage of Scripture, “since you have forgotten the laws of your God, I will forget to bless your children.”

The Lord said that He has been imparting to His Chosen Vessels a fierce boldness in this hour, and they will go forth, speaking it just as it is, whether the Word they are carrying is rejected or accepted. And those who try to hold the Word back will find that they cannot. It will come rolling out of their mouths anyway. This will be the work of the Holy Spirit as He releases from them a living stream that will bring people to repentance, and a sword of judgment upon those who will not repent.

Those who have been shut away with Me, in that secret place, allowing Me to instruct them and prepare them, are the ones that I shall bring forth as My Sword in this hour. I will make them a force to be reckoned with!
