Shalom Shalom,

 

It’s a cold wintry day here in South Georgia, but I am thanking the dear Lord for three nights of good steady rain.  This is a drought stricken area, so I’m grateful for every little bit that He sends our way.

 

Speaking of cold, wintry weather with sharp winds that cut right through you, that is what we had in Washington, DC for the annual March for Life on the thirty-fifth anniversary of Roe vs Wade. Nevertheless, it didn’t seem to bother anyone.  It was such a blessing this year! It was so different! God has been doing a mighty work in this country, especially among the young people and young adults. He is raising up for Himself an army of plain, ordinary people, young and old alike, who will move out and make a difference.  What the government refuses to do, those He has prepared for such a time as this will do.  Hallelu Yah!   

    

Our team arrived a bit early so we could spend a little time in prayer before all of the activities began. As folks began to gather, we all began to notice how many young people were among us, as well as young adults and young married couples. They kept coming and coming until it soon looked like a sea of people. They came in like gangbusters, and it was obvious they had all been called to be there.  No doubt about it, they were men and women on a mission.  They made no bones about being there to stand for truth and righteousness, as well as march on behalf of the unborn babies.  

 

As we stood there looking out over the crowd, all I could do was weep.  The Lord began to bring back to my remembrance the late ‘60s when a small handful of us were traveling from town to town, appearing on one talk show after the other, both on radio and television, warning people what would happen if Abortion on Demand became law.  No one would listen to us.  We were hated! They stacked the talk shows against us! When we were to take telephone calls, they controlled the switchboards so that only their callers could get through.  As I looked back and remembered how we were ridiculed and even threatened, for the first time I realized just how much the dear Lord brought us through.  I was also seeing, as I looked out over the sea of people, answers to so many prayers.

 

Since then, we’ve seen 50,000,000 babies denied their right to life.  We can be sure that there will be many more before this holocaust comes to an end, but in the last years the numbers have been dropping dramatically, for which we can be grateful.  Still one out of every five pregnancies ends in abortion.   

 

We were speaking with three police officers who said that there were about 100,000 of us participating this year. The officers were in amazement that we all came from across the US to stand for truth and righteousness and march on behalf of the unborn babies.  They could not seem to get over the love and the joy they were witnessing. They were greatly blessed to see that we were a no-nonsense type crowd. There was complete harmony! 

 

President Bush addressed the crowd via telephone hook-up.  He said, “Thirty-five years ago today, the Supreme Court declared and decided that under the law an unborn child is not considered a person. Today we’re heartened by the news that the number of abortions is declining, but the most recent data reports that one in five pregnancies still end in abortion.”  He went on to say that he looks forward to the day when every child is welcomed into life and protected by law. 

 

As Senator Sam Brownback looked out over the sea of people, he said, “I can see the future of the Pro-Life Movement rests with America’s young people, and the future of the movement is to be Pro-Life and Whole Life”.

 

Pope Benedict XVI sent a message saying, “Thank you for promoting respect for the dignity and inalienable rights of every human being, including the smallest and most defenseless members of our human family.”

 

As we marched down Constitution Avenue, we must have been a sight!  Someone said that we looked like a gigantic pep rally with all of the young people among us waving their banners, signs and school colors. Then, the best part of all was when we arrived in front of the US Supreme Court Building, a huge rainbow appeared overhead.  It was beautiful!  There were many among us who were silently weeping.

 

I thank God for all those who have awakened to the fact that abortion is not about a “blob” or a bit of “fetal tissue”.  It is about a human being with a beating heart, eyes, ears, mouth, arms, legs, fingers and toes. It is about a baby!  It is about a live human being, and deserves the right to live. 

 

Planned Parenthood is still the largest provider of abortions in America, and does so with $300 million of our tax dollars each and every year.  The March for Like wrapped up three days of Pro-Life activities in Washington.  When we first arrived in Washington, we were able to meet with a number of Congressmen and women to ask that they support the Pro-Life Movement. We were able to thank those who have stood shoulder to shoulder with us for so many years. We asked them all to suspend the tax dollars that go to Planned Parenthood each and every year.

 

I must tell you that most of the new majority in Congress that we tried to speak with were extremely calloused in heart.  They nix anything and everything that even hints at being part of a Pro-Life Movement. They very quickly become hostile! Some were extremely upset because there were about 100,000 pro-lifers who marched, and only about 250 standing on the sidelines in defense of abortion on demand, which is a good sign.

 

Would you believe that on the same day we marched on behalf of life for the unborn,  Planned Parenthood in Schenectady, New York had a ribbon cutting ceremony as they opened their new facility which they dubbed “On Sacred Ground”?  That’s not all! A number of clergy were there to sound the Shofar for them, lay hands on the brick and mortar to bless the building, and then prayed that they would make it a place of safety and sanctuary for the women coming in for abortions.  Lord, have mercy!   
 

 

Human-Animal Hybrid Experiments

 

Senator Sam Brownback has just introduced an important new bill to the U.S. Senate, which would ban the unethical experiments that fuse human cells with those of animals, producing “hybrid” embryos. 

 

I would very much like to think that Senators on both sides of the aisle would be happy to support this legislation however, having met and conversed with some of the new majority, I sincerely have my doubts. Let us pray in to this for as Ashley Horne said, “There is no reason why we should be experimenting with the unethical creation of human-animal hybrids.”  We have got to stop trying to play God!
 

 

Courts Rule Again on 35^th Anniversary

 

On the 35^th Anniversary of Roe vs Wade, while thousands of us were marching on behalf of the unborn in Washington, D.C., the State of Missouri was told that they must allow inmates to have abortions, in fact, they must transport them to and from the clinic where the abortion will be performed. 

 

Governor Matt Blunt called the ruling disappointing and noted that Missouri law prohibits the use of state tax dollars to pay for abortions. He said, “Over the last three years, we have made positive changes and enacted laws that reflect our profound respect for the inherent dignity of each and every life.  I am hopeful and prayerful that we can further protect life by enhancing our laws to defend the dignity of human life.”

 

Since July of 2005 seven Missouri inmates have had abortions.  All of them were elective procedures.   The ACLU was the culprit behind the ruling.  Let’s pray in to this situation   as well. 
 

Ramos & Compean Still Imprisoned

 

Congressmen Rohrabacher and Hunter have called on President Bush to pardon two former U.S. Border Patrol agents who were sent to prison a year ago for shooting a drug smuggler in the buttocks as he fled back in to Mexico. They thought he was armed. Representative Rohrabacher accused President Bush of being “arrogant and heartless” for refusing to pardon these two men who were ordered to prison to serve 11 and 12 year prison sentences. He said that one of the men was badly beaten and since then they have spent the last year in solitary confinement in conditions far worse than the detainees at Guantanamo Bay. President Bush has been fully aware of the details of this blatant miscarriage of justice and has chosen to do nothing about it.

 

Our agents were convicted solely on the testimony of the drug dealer, who has since been indicted on federal drug charges for running drugs (743 lb and 752 lb of marijuana) in to the U.S. while serving as a federal witness.  To top it off, he did so with border crossing cards given him for his co-operation. Many have said that the sentences were “profoundly disproportionate.”  Please pray that justice be done for their case is being appealed.

 

Another Counterfeit

 

A new film has hit the Iranian movie screens.  The director of the film is a hardliner just as Ahmadinejad is, and says that his film, “Jesus, the Spirit of God,” will show the Islamic view of Jesus Christ. He went on to say that the film is their answer to Mel Gibson’s film, “The Passion of the Christ” which he says is admirable but simply “wrong”. He continued by saying that Islam sees Jesus as a prophet, “not the Son of God” and he does not believe that Jesus was crucified. He does believe, however, that when the Mahdi (Savior) returns, Jesus will accompany him, therefore he has produced this film to show Christians the similarities between Islam and Christianity. It is his belief that the film will serve as a bridge between the two religions and one day bring us together as one, one in Islam that is. 
 

 

Iowa State Legislature

 

Just over a week ago, the Iowa State Legislature began with a Muslim Imam opening in prayer to Allah.  As he prayed, first in Arabic, then in English, he asked for “victory” over “those who disbelieve” and for “protection” from “the great Satan”. Pastor Steve Smith became concerned about the way the Imam prayed for he said the Jihadists believe those in the U.S. are the great Satan. He went on to say that as the Imam prayed for protection from disbelievers he was asking the Legislators and God to give them favor or victory over non believers.  The Pastor continued by saying that he took what was spoken, not as a prayer, but as a political statement, and he is asking others in Iowa who are concerned to contact their representatives. I read the transcript and the Pastor is right.  Americans had better begin to wake up, stand up and speak up before it is too late. 

 

Islam Expert Fired

 

The firing of the Pentagon’s only resident expert on Islamic Law, Major Stephen Coughlin, has finally begun to attract the attention of key members of Congress and the White House.  They have launched a “fact-finding” mission into the case. 

 

Coughlin, of the U.S. Army Reserves, was on contract to the Joint Chief of Staff to brief U.S. Commanders en-route to Iraq, as well as officers at various staff colleges around the country, on the role of Islamic teachings in the mind of America’s enemies. 

 

His contract was terminated several weeks ago after an encounter with a top aide to Deputy Defense Secretary Gordon England, Egyptian born Hesham Islam, who dismissed his findings and called him a “Christian zealot with a pen”.       

 

Because Coughlin took issue with many things that were going on, it is said that he can hold little hope of a White House “rescue”. Representative Sue Myrick said, “This sounds like another example of someone protecting national security and being told to “shut up!” She went on to say that “if we don’t get over being politically correct, we won’t be here as a country.”  Many others agreed and hearings will be held.  Let’s pray!

 

Quantico Mosque Leader Promoted

 

In a special ceremony, the Pentagon recently promoted a Wahhabi-trained Muslim chaplain who catered to al-Qaida detainees at Guantanamo and fought to establish the first mosque in Marine Corps history. It was the same Deputy Defense Secretary Gordon England, who fired Major Coughlin, who personally promoted Navy chaplain Abuhena Mohammed Saifulislam from lieutenant to lieutenant commander. Saifulislam also received a Joint Service Commendation Medal at the Pentagon ceremony held on the fifth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. Pentagon officials say the ceremony was unprecedented.  

 

England also personally dedicated a new Islamic Center at Marine headquarters at Quantico, Virginia on the advise of Saifulislam, who recited verses from the Quran  in both Arabic and English at the celebration. Saifulislam recieved his training at a radical Islamic school in Leesburg, Virginia, which has been raided by federal agents because of ties to terrorist activity. 

 

Paul Sperry, who wrote the book “Infiltration” said, “The Pentagon is giving him a permanent tax-payer-supported platform from which to convert grunts to Islam.” He went on to say that with the Quantico Mosque, the Pentagon is facilitating the study of the holy text the enemy uses, heretically or not, as their manual of warfare. 

 

Multiculturalism appears to trump concerns about Islamic infiltration of the military.  Following the Marine’s lead, the Army has dedicated a Mosque at West Point complete with green carpet, shoe racks and a pulpit that faces Mecca. The Army has also been recruiting international cadets from Muslim countries such as Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia. The U.S. military now boasts of more than 10,000 Muslim soldiers, many of them converts. They fail to remember the convert who killed two U.S. soldiers and wounded 15 others as they began to push their way in to Iraq, saying afterwards, at his trial, “I did it out of loyalty to the umma, or global community of Muslims.”

God’s Road Map is Israel’s Future

 

“The audible voice of the Lord came to me saying, “God’s Road Map is Israel’s Future!” God’s Word contains God’s will. Unfortunately President Bush is moving ahead with his own Annapolis Road Map, a plan to have a Palestinian state with east Jerusalem as its capital before he leaves office a year from now. I hear the Holy Spirit warning, “What God has joined together, do not separate!”  James Goll

 

  Note:  Speaking of Annapolis, I don’t know how many of you are aware, but at the Annapolis Summit, which President Bush hosted, the Arab leaders were invited to enter through the front door of the building, but the Israeli leaders had to enter through the service door in the rear of the building because the Arabs would not walk through the same door which the Jews passed through.  The Arabs also removed their headsets when the Israeli Prime Minister spoke so they wouldn’t have to listen.  What does that tell us?
 

 

Everybody Claims to Know Jesus!

 

“In this present age of situational ethics and moral ambivalence, man is continually attempting to create Jesus in his own image, usually to fit the circumstances, or state of affairs, in which he finds himself. In politics we see signs that say, “Jesus was a liberal”   or “Jesus was not a Republican” etc.  Even within the Church we see depictions of Jesus that are simply unfounded.  The fact is that opinions of Jesus simply don’t matter.  The only thing that matters in our understanding of Jesus is what He told us of Himself in His Word, the Bible. 

 

“The Bible must be our only standard in our endeavors to understand Jesus, the Son of the Living God, and His purposes for our lives. Today, many are trying to use modern social guidelines such as, “inclusiveness” or “multiculturalism” or “globalism” to define Jesus. These people are attempting to socialize the Gospel, humanizing Jesus to fit their own needs, but God is unique in His approach to mankind.” Jonathan Falwell  

 

United Methodist Church

 

The United Methodist Church officials are urging Church agencies and members to divest their holdings in “Caterpillar, Inc” for doing business with Israel.  The UMC has about $15 million of Caterpillar stock in its pension fund. Several UM Regional Conferences have already endorsed anti-Israel divestment according to Mark Tooley, Methodist Renewal Advocate.  

 

The UMC is the nation’s largest and most prominent mainline Protestant denomination, (11million) whose members include both President Bush and Senator Hillary Clinton. Those who will make the final decision are trying to decide whether or not their actions will shatter the church’s traditional relationship with American Jews. The General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (2.4 million) has already voted in favor of such measures in 2004.  They should be concerned about their relationship with the Almighty.    
 

 

Short Term Missions

 

Please remember to pray for Marion Shin and Jan Wilker as they return from Israel February 3^rd.. I have been in touch with both girls, and they have had a very fruitful prayer mission thus far.  As of this writing they are praying out in the field.

 

Please pray for Pastor Ron Blanton as he departs for Granada on February 7^th.  He will be meeting with a Pastor who oversees three congregations that they have planted there. They sense coming changes and revival in the Caribbean Rim and hope to hear from the Lord concerning their part in His plan for that area. Pastor Ron returns February 12^th.

 

Please pray for all of those who are living in Tent Cities in Riverside, California since the collapse of the housing market. In one tent city alone there are 350 plus people with no electricity, two water hoses for them to draw water from, and six outhouses for their use.  They are truly living in Third World conditions, exactly like the Israelis were forced to do after being thrown out of their homes, factories and businesses in Gush Katif.          

 

Coincidence, or Message from God?

 

On January 8^th, 2008, the day that President Bush left the USA for Israel in order to lay the framework for the establishment of a Palestinian State and the division of Jerusalem for its capital, a freak tornado swept through a city in President Bush’s own country.  The place that was hit was “Jerusalem, Arkansas.” Coincidence? One church building was totally destroyed in the tornado’s path. The name of it was “Mt. Zion” Community Church.  Coincidence?  All of this happened on the very day that President Bush left to wage war on God by ignoring His Word, dividing His Land for the displacement of thousands of His people, the Jews, from their homes and businesses once again. 
 

 

We Have Challenged God

 

“America has trampled on My heart, again and again!  She has trampled on My Cross and all of the blessings that it has brought to her, declared herself free of My Commandments, and chosen her own course.  America arrogantly wants to be her own God. She is a proud nation that worships herself!  Because America, in her rebellion, has turned her back on Me, inviting another to take My place, she will loose her freedom in a single day.  Her people will be divided and confused because of the instability in the nation, and then panic will set in as food and water supplies become scarce, followed by famine!”   Church, if ever America needed to repent and return to God, it is NOW!
