Aug 2006

Greetings from Brunswick!

I pray that this newsletter finds all of you well and blessed beyond measure. I know that some of you live in areas that have been ravaged by the fires, some of you are in areas that have known a tremendous amount of storms and flooding, as well as power outages, and all of us are sizzling in this summer’s heat. Please know that we are praying for all of you each and every day, and of course, we covet your prayers as well in these trying and very violent times.

Since the last newsletter Israel has become involved in full blown ‘unprovoked’ war. A war that she must win! It is not a coincidence that it happened during this time of the year. In Hebrew this season is known as ‘Bein HaM’Tzarim’ or "Between the Straights". It is the three weeks leading up to the Ninth of Av when so many destructive things have happened to the Jewish people in the past. It is a time of fasting and mourning each year for the Jewish people. I’ve been in Jerusalem many times during this season, and the closer it comes to the Ninth of Av, the heavier the atmosphere becomes over the city.

It was during the three weeks leading up to the Ninth of Av that Moses smashed the Ten Commandments on Mt. Sinai. It was also the time that daily sacrifices ceased, a Torah Scroll was burned and an idol erected in the Temple. It was also when the city wall was breached.

On the Ninth of Av Israel was told by God in the wilderness that their generation would not enter the Promised Land. Both of the temples were destroyed on this date, the first Crusades began, Jews were expelled from England, France, Spain, and thousands were massacred in Poland.

Declarations for World War I began at this time, and plans for the annihilation of Jews were drafted initiating World War II. During the Holocaust the Nazis systematically chose the Ninth of Av to carry out murderous and other demonically inspired actions against the Jewish Community.

In short the three weeks leading up to the Ninth of Av represent a time of bitterness and destruction for the Jewish people. So it was not surprising that Hizb’allah chose this period of time to begin their campaign of hatred, death, and destruction. I just thank God these terrorist organizations, and those who shield them, are being exposed.

Psalm 91 has been given to us as a scripture of protection, and an instrument of war against this evil spirit. We have been given authority over all of the power of the enemy, but authority and victory in Christ must be rightly appropriated through the Body of Christ. That is why we must be equipped with the knowledge of the times and seasons of the Spirit, dedicated to the Lord’s plans and strategies.

Brothers and Sisters, if ever there was a time when we need to pray for Israel the time is NOW! The tiny little nation is surrounded by twenty-two Arab Nations, who are hostile to her very existence, and she is fighting for her life. *Psalm 122:6* commands us to *Pray for the Peace of **Jerusalem**!* *P-l-e-a-s-e* make this a focus as you pray and intercede!

Sara Ballinger just shared that recently, the Lord brought back to her remembrance the pictures that she had been viewing on television of the war in Lebanon that Israel is involved in. She said that as she viewed them again, she felt as though she was fighting this war, too, directly engaged in the conflict. Then she heard the words: *"This war is your war, too!"*

Sara said she realized in a flash that for those of us who carry Zion in our hearts, this *IS* "our war" and we are waging this battle along with the brave men and women of the Israeli Defense Forces. The Almighty is calling us to *"battle in the spirit"* as they battle the evil forces on the ground. She went on to say that something was stirring in her spirit that will give her no rest until victory has been achieved. She heard the Lord say to her, *"Tell My people, you are ALL in a State of **War**

now!"* Brothers and Sisters, we, in the Body of Christ, must seek the face of God in our own prayer closets now, to find out if we have any new marching orders. Listen, Trust, and Obey!

*Praise the Lord! *Just recently I asked that you all pray for a Member of the Israeli Knesset (MK) Yuri Shtern to be healed of cancer. This dear man has been a very good friend to Christians. Well, I’ve just received a note from him which reads: "Shalom Friends, Thank you all for your prayers. Your concern for my condition warms my heart. I want to update you regarding my current situation. I recently finished my second round of chemotherapy, and now the doctors tell me that there has been a dramatic change in my condition. *My cancer is now in remission! *I believe that this is not just the result of the chemotherapy, homeopathic and other treatments that I have been receiving. I also see the improvement in my condition as a direct result of all of your prayers. Thank you again, for your ongoing support. I will keep you all updated as events unfold. I believe in my ability to win this fight with your continued prayers."

Sincerely,

Member of Knesset, Let us all thank God and continue to pray that he be healed completely!

*"Under God" -* Ted Akin’s *"Pledge Protection Act"* has made it to the floor of the House for a vote. It has passed the House 260 to 167. Thank God! It goes now to the Senate where Senator Kyle is chief sponsor of the legislation. Let us ask the Lord for complete victory in the Senate as well.

*Ambassador John Bolton * On July 27^th there will be a hearing on the nomination of John Bolton, the US Ambassador to the UN, who is currently serving under a recess appointment which will expire at the end of this year. It is critical to have a duly confirmed US representative at the UN in light of the crisis in the Middle East. It is believed that this will be dealt with before August recess. However, there are a few Democrats who are threatening to filibuster his nomination again. If they do, President Bush could make another recess appointment, however Ambassador Bolton could not receive a salary. Let us pray that they not filibuster the appointment of this dear man again. Let us all thank God that President Bush had the wisdom to appoint a man with the tenacity to ‘hold the line’ for the US, when necessary, against the Nations of the World. He has been representing us exceptionally well!

Hardships & Joys of Travel

My travels in July were both difficult and joyous! I try to drive every time I possibly can, but there are times when I must fly. Because of all of the flooding in the North East, it seemed as though I was forever en-route. Heading south I was hung up for hours at Baltimore Washington Airport, and again at Norfolk Airport. Trips that should have taken me no more than five hours at the most, ended up taking me sixteen hours.

There were times when I began to think that I would never reach each destination. We were packed in to gates like sardines, and moved from one gate to another multiple times. There were children screaming every where. I have never been as relieved as I was when I finally opened my front door, and stepped inside, thoroughly exhausted, but thanking God for a safe journey, and the peace and quiet of home.

I really want to thank May Briscoe, JoAnn Hahn, and Deborah Cain for all of their help, as well as their wonderful hospitality while I was in Kentucky. Deborah drove many miles to take me to and from the airport, and then hosted a gathering in her home in Berea. A gathering where an awesome move of the Holy Spirit took place, which brought so much strength, encouragement, healing and deliverance to the intercessors who met there. It blessed my heart to see so many of the intercessors step in to new mantles which the Lord has set upon them, and minister from a place of pure humility. God has truly been doing a very beautiful work within those He has separated unto Himself. I rejoice with all of them!

On one of my flights in to Baltimore Washington I sat beside a young lady, just twenty-three years old, who blessed my heart! She had her tray table down, her Bible opened on it, as she was digging for specific scriptures. I made mention to her that her choice of reading materials was excellent. She became really excited, and said to me, "You are a Christian, too, aren’t you?" Immediately she began to share with me that the Lord was sending her to a dear friend, who was going through a very difficult time. She said that she had been hesitant to make the trip, for it meant flying both ways the same day. However, her husband felt the Lord was telling her to go, and she needed to go, so he made the way for her, and she was on her way.

We shared non stop the entire time we were airborne. What a witness she was to those sitting all around us. Her only concern was that God’s plan and purpose for her making the trip would be accomplished. She wanted so much to see her friend set free and healed. As we were preparing for landing, she told me that she had heard so many stories about folks having divine connections on airplanes, and she had wondered why the Lord had never given her one. She said, "Now I can say that I’ve had one!" She asked me to pray for her, which I did. Then she asked me if she could have one of my cards, because she wanted to be able to stay in touch. Bless her heart, she was full of the zeal of the Lord, and had the godly wisdom to go with it. How the willingness of that young lady to go in His love and serve, must bless His heart.

In the hotels and airports, in the midst of all of the horrid weather we have been experiencing, it is amazing to me the number of people who just don’t seem to understand that the dear Lord has been speaking, loud and clear, for a long time, calling this nation to repentance. However, when they make mention of some of the atrocities that are happening, and I begin to connect the dots for them, it is really a blessing to watch their eyes light up! All of a sudden it is obvious that the Lord has just given them clarity of vision. Then they begin to connect dots, and understand the need for this nation to repent! There is a harvest ready out there, if we will just get out among them and speak when God gives us the opportunity.

A Helping Hand Family "Reunion" Weekend

This year my schedule finally permitted me to make the trip to Lexington, KY to attend a family reunion weekend hosted by A Helping Hand Adoption Agency. AHH is an orphan relief ministry. One part of the ministry handles adoptions in two countries, while the other part is an outreach to orphans in eleven countries.

Tony Brewer, Executive Director of AHH, said the ministry mandate is:

"We will Care--We will care for the orphan, wherever he may be found. If he is thirsty, we will give him drink. If he is hungry, we will give him bread. If he is naked, we will clothe him. If he is homeless, we will shelter him. If he is without comfort, we will hold him until he knows the love of his Heavenly Father."

The festivities began with a reception on Friday night at the AHH offices where they premiered their new "Orphan Voice" video, and we heard from their ministry partners from around the world. Two Pastors, one from China, and one from Cambodia, were present and shared their hearts with us. Those who could not be present in person participated via conference-call. It was an exciting evening that touched all of us very deeply as we learned all that God is doing in China, Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar, and Malawi.

Saturday the skies were overcast, but the dear Lord held back the rain for the entire day. It rained in most areas surrounding the picnic site, but not in Lexmark Park, which was abuzz with activity. AHH welcomed

1,325 people, from 15 states, to the picnic. The children had a wonderful time playing, and the adults had some really sweet fellowship with some of their friends from the various travel groups, and made many new friends as well. In short, it was a delightful place to be. My heart was so touched to watch, and meet with so many families who have adopted babies through AHH. Happy, happy families! One grandfather told May Briscoe that as a result of what he saw at the picnic, he was re-dedicating his life to the Lord.

Toward the end of the day, there was a very special time of prayer and thanksgiving for the agency, which was celebrating ten years as an agency. A very special gift was presented to Executive Director, Tony Brewer, a man truly loved by everyone in attendance. I heard some call him their hero! A man with a heart for children, especially orphans, that goes unmatched. I’ve known Tony, and his lovely wife, Cindy, for many years, and I thank God for them. They are a precious couple who have adopted five orphans themselves. A beautiful family! They have also helped to place about 1200 orphans. To God be the Glory, and Tony and Cindy would be the first two to say that. The agency has a solid foundation of fasting and prayer under it, and they are led in all they do by the Spirit of the Living God. I count it a great privilege to be able to co-labor with them.

I must tell you that since Fair Havens Missions came in to existence, we have always ministered to the orphans. We’ve always taken the Word of God seriously, for He repeatedly tells us how He feels about the orphans and widows, and reminds us of our responsibility to the orphans and the widows. We have cared for orphans in Honduras, Guatemala, Cuba, Russia, and Israel. Now we are also partnering with AHH, and so blessed to be able to do so. Should the Lord speak to your heart concerning the orphans, or for additional information, you can contact AHH, 1510 Newtown Pike, Suite 140, Lexington, KY 40511. Their website is:

www.orphanvoice.org and their telephone number is: (859) 263-9964. Let us all pray for them, for they are truly His hands and feet extended to the little ones, and those who want to adopt.

Day of Repentance for South Florida

Myrna, yesterday, July 10^th , I went to Miami for the Day of Repentance for South Florida, which was held at a local congregation, Alpha & Omega, by a very precious servant of the Most High, Ana Mendez. She is very guided by the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit). The Word of the Lord that came forth was a double edged sword spoken, without compromise, to about 100 Pastors and Leaders, from different congregations in South Florida.

The Lord told the Pastors and Leaders He wanted them to stop preaching sweet words, lies, and nonsensical promises to the people. He told them to stop the prosperity preaching, stop competing with each other, stop thinking about money all the time, etc. He told them to go to the Truth, and then begin to prepare the Body of Christ for what is coming, for disaster is coming. He told them that the earth is vomiting because of the sins committed by those in leadership, and those who are called the Body of Christ.

We asked the Lord to forgive us for the sins that have been committed upon the earth. We also prayed that God would be merciful through the hurricane season.

As we prayed, the Lord told me to cover myself, because I was in His Holy Presence, so while my head and face were covered, I could not see or hear anything, in fact, I felt as though I was all alone. Suddenly the Spirit of travail hit me, and while I was kneeling there, I could not stop weeping. Great compassion for the sinner came upon me. Then, toward the end of the prayer service, the Pastors and Leaders were called to come to the altar to repent and ask forgiveness of each other.

It is unfortunate, but it is very hard for those in high positions to humble themselves. Myrna, may Yeshua continue to give you the strength to speak the truth, as you have been doing. I hope to see you one day soon. Shalom, Beatriz Dhauwer.

There Are Sheep and Then There Are Sheep

"I saw a mountain, and on the mountain were two groups of sheep. One group was really high up on the mountain grazing. Way further below them, on the other side of a stone wall, were other sheep grazing. I was drawn towards the sheep that were high up, and as the Lord drew me close, I realized they were not sheep at all, but wolves in sheep’s clothing. From a distance they looked like sheep, but at closer glance, they were not. They were pretenders, and really there to devour the real sheep so as to gain what was meant for them. These wolves were high up in places where they should not be! I wondered when this would change, as the real sheep below the stone wall were the ones that deserved to be in that position on the mountain.

"Suddenly I saw the hand of God reach down, and with one swoop of His hand, He removed the stone wall that was keeping the "real" sheep down below. As He drew His hand back, He somehow did away with the wolves in sheep’s clothing.

"There is a way being made for those that have not had a way to go higher up the mountain. The pretenders are about to come to a swift end, and soon. The Lord will make a way where there seems to be no way!" In Jesus always, Cyndee Pillow

"I Have Drawn a Line!"

Just a sharing This morning I awakened about 5:00 to the Lord shaking me awake, (not physically, but spiritually). He said to me, "It is time to confront people where they stand! I have drawn a line throughout the earth, and I need to know which side of the line they will be on." He went on to say, "In love, confront people who are wearing a cross around their neck, or have other items they tote around to say they are a Christian. I need to know who will stand with Me."

Well, I look to get some nasty answers like, "It’s none of your business!" However, that will tell me, and the Lord, where they stand.

It’s like He is making a list, checking it twice, to see who is naughty or nice! Talk to you later, Jan Robbins

Once again I am asking that you all please pray for Scott Holtz and his wife, Dalit. They, and their team, have been re-commissioned to Israel along the northern border with Lebanon. They have traveled the entire length of the Israeli/Lebanese border, sounding their shofars, and interceding against Islamic terrorism. They have also been to the demilitarized zone on the Golan Heights. Scott said that they have been given amazing favor, and have been able to visit secret locations of Israeli Tank Corps, engineering battalions, and special units. The Israeli soldiers have been amazed that they would come to visit them in a war zone, showing them unconditional love, blessing them with care packages, and sharing their testimonies about Yeshua, with no one rejecting their witness. They both say that the fields are ripe for harvest, like nothing they have ever seen before.

At the same time they have been encountering incredible fierce and thunderous artillery fire, as well as katyusha rocket attacks. He said that being in live-fire and seeing the terror the Iranian weapons bring is very, very sobering. They have also been able to visit many of the Israelis in bomb shelters. Through it all, the Lord has kept their entire team filled with His intoxicating joy and sweet shalom. They are grateful for our prayers, and the grace of God, that have kept them one step ahead of the bombardment of katyusha rockets that are raining down upon Northern Israel by the hundreds. They are asking that we please continue to pray until they return. Let’s keep them well covered, and thank God for all that He is accomplishing through these precious servants.

Tim Steuber has sent an email thanking all of you for the prayer covering while he and the team were ministering in Russia. As you know, Tim was traveling with a group of eight called, "Revelation." They were ministering in Vyborg, which is on the outskirts of St. Petersburg. It sounds as though they had a marvelous time. Their projects varied from helping with a children’s camp program, to wall papering the home of one of the seniors in the congregation that was hosting them. Because of the witnesses they were, ministering outside the four walls of a building, as they did, at least one, who had not been interested in the Church previously, was suddenly drawn in.

When all their projects were finished, and all the work done, the Americans and the Russians

enjoyed a sweet time of fellowship with each other. For all of them it was exciting, for they were able to meet people who are quite different in many ways, but yet the same in the Spirit. The team also enjoyed an informal time of bi-lingual worship. They said that singing to God in different languages is never a problem, for it only makes what they have in common more obvious.

Welcome home, Tim, and thank you for sharing with us. I’ve spent a lot of time ministering in Russia, and dearly love the people. Your email has made me restless to get back in to the nations. Shalom and blessings to you!

Let us continue to pray for Jan Wilker, who will be ministering in Russia for one more month yet. Please continue to pray for Pastor Sadie Connor, and her team, as they are making final preparations for trips to Jamaica and Panama. Let us continue to keep the Lord’s driving prayer force in our prayers. They are the Fellowship of Christian Truck Drivers and they have an awesome prayer and praise ministry. Feel free to contact them at any time with your urgent prayer requests, knowing that they will be taken directly to the Throne. www.christiantruckdrivers.org

Let us pray for the Church, and Church leadership, that they will shake off the lethargic spirit, rise up, and allow the Lord to have His way.

That means to humble themselves before Him, and truly repent of all sin.

The Lord is cleansing and purifying those who will yield themselves unto Him, however, time is short! The time is now, to make our decision for Him, or against Him.

Brothers and sisters, our troops are fighting in temperatures ranging from 111 to 121 degrees in Iraq and Afghanistan. Imagine that, in light of the uniforms, helmet, boots and artillery they must wear and carry.

My heart goes out to all of them, and their families here at home.

Please remember them in prayer. And please pray much for the Israeli soldiers for, like the Lord said, they are fighting for us, too! Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem! Pray for the Peace and Salvation of all Israel.

********

While I still have space left, may I take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you who support this ministry in prayer and finances.

The Lord is continually extending our borders, and increasing our responsibilities, therefore we are extremely grateful for all of your help. I would also like to thank those of you who help me personally.

You will never know, until you reach Glory, what a blessing you have been.

In Yeshua’s love, Myrna
