Greetings from Vero Beach!

I want to thank all of you who have written, or telephoned, me this past month. You have so blessed my heart, and I know you are blessing the heart of our Father. Keep on keeping on with Yeshua! Stay strong! Stand steadfast! Keep your focus upon Him, and when He gives you a Word to speak, speak it!

The Lord said, “The enemy has come to challenge the Word that has been placed deep within you. It is My Word that is the issue! Why? It is simply because My Word is life, strength, and power in you, and the enemy does not want that life, strength, and power to be released!”

He went on to say, “Do not be afraid to stand firm! Every foundation will be shaken on account of My Holy Word, for it is My Word that is at work. It is disclosing every heart, and it will lay hearts bare before Me, for I have released My Word in to the earth, and it is at work in your midst!”

Brothers and sisters, the Lord said, “The fight is on! I AM roaring in the midst of My enemies. Watch as I perform My Word. Everything is coming in to alignment with My Word. Not one portion of My Word will be unfulfilled!”

These are days of confrontation! The dear Lord said, “In these End Times, I shall reveal My secrets to My servants, the prophets, My Elijahs, with great detail and accuracy. The Word of My Prophets will ring hard and loud throughout the land. Even in to the secular world, they shall hear My declaring!”

“I shall take My servants to a new level of intercession. My House, the House I AM building, will truly be a House of Prayer. I will release through My servants a spirit of travail, the likes of which no one has seen before. They will weep between the porch and the altar. They will grab hold of the horns of the altar. They will call down a spirit of conviction, and repentance. Tremendous change will come, and My servants will be used to bring that change about. I will no longer tolerate compromise!!!”

Brothers and sisters, God’s End Time Elijahs will be completely sold out to God, and I do mean completely!!! They will be so sold out that if He calls them to come out of their job, for a season, to enter in to serious intercession, they will do it. They will trust Him and obey!

God’s End Time Elijahs will work to restore the people’s respect for the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. They will also revere, and proclaim, His Holy Word loud and clear. They will stand by Israel without hesitation. They will defend and support His Land and His people.

He told me that His Light shall shine upon His Remnant. They shall see clearly, and have understanding, like they have never had before. He said that He will answer many questions for His Remnant. He will enlighten them, and direct them! Their steps will be deliberate! Hallelujah!!!

A couple of days ago, the Lord told me to turn on the television, which I did. Christians were gathering in Alabama in support of the Ten Commandments, and Chief Justice Roy Moore, one of God’s End Time Elijahs. As my eyes fell upon Judge Moore, and upon those believers who were gathered outside the Judicial building in Alabama, a spirit of travail moved in, coming in waves upon me for almost two hours. I was left absolutely drained.

To hear Chief Justice Moore, on national television, proclaiming: “It’s not about a monument, but about acknowledgement of Almighty God” blessed my heart. Then, as he finished his statement, he said, “I will not violate my oath of office, I will not violate my conscience, and I will not deny my God!” With that he quietly walked away.

After he addressed the believers who were gathered there, I was going to turn the television off, but the Lord told me to leave it on, and listen to the voices of the people and the media. I was absolutely sickened as one after the other ridiculed Judge Moore. Barry Lynn said of Justice Moore, “Perhaps Roy Moore will soon leave the bench and move in to the pulpit, which he seems better suited for.” One after the other said “Get the Ten Commandments out of there. The Federal Judge said they have to go, so they should go!” On the talk shows, the people were saying that the Federal Judge said we have to obey the law, so the Ten Commandments need to go. Although there were several in the media, who supported Judge Moore, they also felt that if the Federal Government gives a ruling, that is the final word in the matter.

Brothers and sisters, there is nothing further from the truth! Yes, we are to submit to all those in authority, and obey the laws that have been laid down, until such time as they contradict the revealed will of Almighty God! When they contradict the revealed will of God, we must decide who we are going to obey. Will we obey God, or will we obey man?

There are so many examples of this in the Scriptures. Let me share just a few of them with you. Do you recall the disobedience of the Hebrew Midwives in Exodus 1:17, the three Hebrew men in Daniel 3:17,18, Daniel in the Book of Daniel 6:8-10, as well as the apostles in Acts 4:18-20 and Acts 5: 27-29? All of these were submitted to official authority, while disobeying the authority, when it conflicted with the revealed will of Almighty God. God and God alone is the final authority on this earth. There is no man, or judge who can supercede Him. God is the soul source of all authority!!!

Let me say to the believers, who would be critical of Chief Justice Moore, he has been tried by fire. He is God’s mouthpiece! He was willing to speak when the Lord said speak, and he was willing to lay it all down, including his elected position as Chief Justice of the State of Alabama, to obey Almighty God. He made his choice. He chose to obey God. Before any of us criticize this man, we need to ask ourselves if we would be willing to do the same. Believe me when I tell you, the day is coming very quickly when we are going to have to make such decisions. We all need to pray that we will have the backbone to do as Justice Moore did, even in the face of so much ridicule.

Through the last thirty years of ministry I have been in such a position a number of times. The dear Lord has tried me with fire, time and time again, and He has always given me the strength and courage to obey Him, regardless of circumstances or consequences. It cost me everything I had, but I chose to obey my Lord, and suffer the consequences.

Severe persecution came against me from family, friends, and other believers who knew not what was happening. I’ve been arrested eight times because I chose to obey God and not man, and I was committed to a mental hospital twice, when my family said my religion had driven me crazy. However, each time the Lord gave me the strength and courage to stand, and numerous opportunities to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He accomplished much through each incident. He also vindicated me, and those who caused me so much grief suffered much before death. The Lord says in His Holy Word, “Touch not My anointed and do My prophets no harm.” (Psalm 105:15). Hear me, Church, for that is exactly what He means!

Let me say to all of you, when the dear Lord has a prophet in training, He will cause you to say and do many things that no one else believes to be kosher. The discipline that a prophet in training is put through is excruciating, but it has to be. Those He is raising up to speak for Him, in these last days, must be wholly committed to Him, free of pride, and all fear of man. They must be strong in Him and able to endure whatever comes their way. I thank God each and every day for all that He brought me through. There were times when I would cry out to Him and say, “Lord, I can’t take anymore!” He would very calmly say, “Yes you can!” He showed me at that time that each trial was a test of endurance. He once told me that the longer, and more difficult, your time of preparation, the greater the call upon your life.

I hope that you all have noticed just how many places the Word of God has been thrown out of now, and how many are seeking to remove every vestige of God from public life here in America. And they are doing it through our own court system. They are doing it through our own liberal judges. That is why none of President Bush’s nominees have been confirmed. Most of them have not even been acknowledged. If you are a conservative, pro life and believe in Almighty God, they see you as a danger to this country.

Let me just say that some of the greatest dangers to this country are the liberal judges, the ACLU, Barry Lynn of Americans United for Separation of Church & State, as well as the Southern Poverty Law Center. We must not omit Larry Darby, and the American Atheists, either. These people have teamed up, and they are actually seeking out the Word of God, or the mention of God, in any public place, and then bringing suit in our own court system, demanding removal.

You know, one of the things the Lord shared with me at the first of the year concerned the horrible persecution that was coming upon the Jews and His Remnant Church here in America. He told me that it would first come about by law suits, restrictions that would be placed upon us, and new laws which would be written to limit our voices here in America. He said that the momentum would build, becoming more and more fierce. Church, He said, “These things are at hand, even at the doors!” Watch and pray, for the Lord told me that is the only way we will be able to discern His voice, and be able to withstand the evil days ahead of us.

Just today I learned that a believer in Lenoir, N.C. was told at the local post office that he could not send Christian comic books to his son who is serving in the military overseas. He was told that US rules prohibit mailing “any matter containing religious materials contrary to the Islamic faith”. This father was told that if they were to accept the package from him, and send it along, it would be seized at customs. The head of the Rutherford Institute, in a press release said, “At a time when our men and women are risking their lives, it is inconceivable their own freedom would be curtailed by the US government in an effort to impose political correctness on our armed forces.” He went on to say, “The US Constitution does not bow to the religious intolerance of other nations!”

You know, I watch all of this going on, and I see the Lord trying to warn the Church to wake up and make a stand, but the Church as a whole sleeps on. When the rubber meets the road, it will be interesting to see what they do. I truly do fear for most of them. The Lord has told me that many simply will not make it.

We have worked in Russia, China, Cuba, Poland, and twenty-three other countries. We have seen first hand what has happened in countries after years of communist rule, without God, or the Word of God! It isn’t pretty, Church!

We’ve also gone in to serve in countries that had just come out from under such oppression, and we saw how starved they were for the Word of God. There was no life in the people. The oppression had literally smothered them. In Russia, we couldn’t unwrap the Bibles fast enough. They would open them, and stand right there on the street reading them. Unless you’ve experienced it, you cannot imagine!

How we have taken Him, and His Word, for granted in this country! Dear God forgive us! Do whatever You have to do to turn the Church, and our country, back to you! May Your Remnant Church be found faithful to You, and Your Word, at all times, no matter what the circumstances or consequences. Prepare us, dear Lord! We need You in every facet of our lives, and we know it!

A Prophetic Word

The Lord just had me pull out of the files a prophetic word given by Bill Yount several months ago. He asked that I print it here and now, and I have Bill’s permission to do so. It speaks of the Statue of Liberty prophesying on bended knee.

“In the Spirit I saw the Statue of Liberty standing tall and proud, then suddenly she was kneeling on her knees. Her lowly posture seemed to be a prophetic act, as though she was prophesying to America: “Your greatest weapon is your knees. If you think you stand, take heed lest you fall. If you fall on your knees to Me now in repentance, I will cause you to stand tall again.”

“With her head bowed low, a large Jewish prayer shawl, like a mantel from above, came down over her head and shoulders. The lady then began travailing and weeping in intercession for Israel. The prayer shawl seemed to signify another prophetic act as she continued to prophesy: “Oh America, you have been brought to the Kingdom for such a time as this. Your real war is in the Spirit to cry out for My beloved Israel, for their salvation and deliverance. If you will defend My Chosen People in this hour, I will be your defense. And I will put My fear of you back into the nations that are coming against you. No weapon formed against you shall prosper! And they that contend with you will find themselves contending with Me. Turn your hearts toward Jerusalem, My Homeland and yours! And I will turn My heart towards you!” (2/12/03).

Oh that we, as a nation, would humble ourselves before the Lord, hear His heart, and allow Him to have His way in all that we do here at home and abroad!!! Our president had the awesome favor of God upon him, until he began to compromise His position in Christ, and cause Israel to break covenant with God.

The “Settlement” Issue

“Once again we’re hearing that awful word in the context of the Middle East debate, “Settlements.” That’s what this conflict is all about, we’re being told. That’s why the Arabs are mad at the Israelis. That’s the root of the violence, terrorism, and hatred.

U.S. Ambassador to Israel, Daniel Kurtzer, raised the ugly specter of “settlement” recently in a speech. Kurtzer, former ambassador to Egypt, and one of the architects of the failed “peace process”, once again blamed Israel as an “obstacle to peace.”

“Israeli settlement activity cripples chances for peace,” he said. He also underlined, with emphasis, and a pregnant pause, this conclusion: “Settlement activity must stop!”

What about these settlements? What are they? Why are they bad? Why should they be stopped? I think most Americans, and most non-Israelis, draw certain mental pictures when they hear this term. I know I did, before I began visiting the “settlements” in Israel. I discovered that they were not armed camps. They were not frontier outposts in alien territory. They were not fortresses built to grab more land for the Jews. No! Much to my surprise, I found these “Settlements” to be nothing more than communities. They are peaceful Jewish communities that don’t interfere with, nor abrogate anyone else’s rights. They remind me of suburban developments in Southern California, more than threats to peace.

The word “settlement” itself is loaded. Who is a “settler” in the Middle East? According to the Arabs, only Jews are “settlers,” but that simply is not the case.

Arafat himself was born in Egypt. He later moved to Jerusalem. If, at the moment, he is living in the West Bank, he is a “settler” there. He is not a native. Indeed, most of the Arabs living within the borders of Israel today have come from some other Arab country, at some time in their life, and they are all “settlers”.

For instance, just since the beginning of the Oslo Accords, hundreds of thousands of Arabs have entered the West Bank, or Gaza, and never left. They have come from Jordan, Egypt, and indirectly from every other Arab country you can name, and many non-Arab countries as well. These surely are not “Palestinians”.

Since 1967, the Arabs have built 261 “settlements” in the West Bank. We don’t hear much about these “settlements.” We hear, instead, about the number of Jewish “settlements” that have been created. We hear how de-stabilizing they are. We hear how provocative they are. Yet, by comparison, only 144 Jewish “settlements” have been built since 1967, including those surrounding Jerusalem in the “West Bank” and Gaza. Why is it that only Jewish construction is de-stabilizing?

The Arab “settlement” activity is not new. This has always been the case. Arabs have been flocking to Israel ever since it was created, and even before, coinciding with the wave of Jewish immigration into Palestine prior to 1948. And that raises a question I never hear anyone ask: If Israel’s policies make life so intolerable for Arabs, why do they continue to flock in to the Jewish state? Why aren’t they leaving in droves, if conditions are as bad as they say?

The truth is: There is more freedom under Israeli rule than there is in any Arab country. If you are a headstrong Arab, bent on protest, this is the place to be. Don’t try throwing stones at Syrian police. You won’t live long! Don’t try publishing anti-kingdom newspapers in Saudi Arabia. You won’t live long! Don’t try fomenting a revolutionary Jihad in Egypt. You won’t live long!

So, sooner or later, those who are determined to protest, the professional agitators, the future Arafats of the Arab world, all come to Israel. The Arab world is happy to be rid of them. This exodus serves two purposes: limiting the threat to Arab regimes, and fanning the uniting flames of anti-Israel hatred. It’s a population safety valve the totalitarian Arab world just loves.

Prior to 1900, the entire region was a barren waste land with low population of Jews, Muslims, and Christians. No one had much interest in the Holy Land, as Mark Twain pointed out in his own travels to the area, until the Jews began to return. Then the economic activity began. The jobs were created. The opportunities appeared. Then, and only then, the Arabs came!

The “settlement” issue is a canard. It’s a propaganda ploy to suggest that only Jews are newcomers to the region. The truth is there are lots of “settlers” and would be “settlers” in the area, including Arafat and his friends.

By the way, under the Oslo Accords, there are no restrictions whatsoever on Israeli construction in Judea, Samaria, and Gaza! None!!! Zip!!! Nada!!! Zilch!!! These “settlements” are perfectly legal. And, I for one can see no legitimate reason for them to stop.”

Newsletters

Recently I have had a number of calls concerning newsletters that were not received. Newsletters that I know were mailed, for I mailed them myself. I also had two different people tell me the reason might be because I only had five digits of their zip-code on the address. Many areas now have an additional four digits to their zip code.

I asked the clerk at the post office here in Vero Beach about it, and she said that the post office issues new orders faster than they can tally them. In many areas the nine digit zip-code is required now if you want to receive your mail.

When you have the opportunity, I would appreciate it if you would drop me a note with your nine digit zip-code on it so I can make the corrections in our data base. When the newsletter comes back to us, it is added expense to put it in a large envelope to send it back out. I try hard to be a good steward of the money the Lord brings in for us to work with. If you don’t know what the last four digits are to your zip-code, look on one of your utility bills, for I’ve been told that all nine digits should be on there. I’m sorry for any inconvenience to you. I pray that you will understand. Thank you so much!

When .… October 24^th & 25^th, 2003

Worship Leader … Carole McCutcheon

The Lord has instructed me to rent space at the Vero Beach Inn for Friday, October 24^th from 7:00 PM until about 10:00 PM, and Saturday from 9:00 AM through 4:00 PM. He told me to call the Intercessors in this area to come together in one accord, laying down our own agendas to focus on Him. The Lord wants us to hear His heart beat concerning Israel, the Church, and America. We will pray in to all three topics. The Lord told me that He has many in this area who belong to Him, and He is saying to them, “Come, Come, Come!” “Gather Together!”

We will be blessed to have Carole McCutcheon with us to lead worship. Carole’s home base is in Ohio. She was one of the music directors for the International Christian Embassy in Jerusalem when I was based there. She is a dear friend, and now travels to the nations as a prophetic worship leader, and minister of the Word of God. As Carole plays, the Lord releases a river of healing. Come be strengthened and refreshed!

I hear the Lord saying to all of us, “Come and pray for all that is on My heart, and I will take care of those things that are on your heart!” He is calling the intercessors to come together to do a work for Him, and to birth the new and fresh things He wants to do in this hour. Our focus on Friday evening will be Israel, and on Saturday our focus will be divided between the Church and America.

For those coming in from out of town, the Vero Beach Inn has given us reduced rates for you, but you must tell them that you are with Fair Havens Missions “Gathering of the Intercessors” and you must call before September 21^st. The Inn is lovely, the owners are precious, and there is a restaurant on the premises, as well as a beautiful pool. It is right on the ocean, so it will be an enjoyable place to spend a couple of days in the Presence of the Lord. We hope that you will join us.
