Odessa: The situation for
Christians in the Odessa area of India remains very critical. Christian
families are being rounded up and tortured or threatened with torture to try
to force them to renounce their faith in the Lord. It has become so bad
that many are asking for International intervention to urge government
officials to do more to protect them. Please pray for these brothers and
sisters in the faith.
Myanmar: These believers have
been persecuted by the government and local officials for years. The Church
is routinely denied the ability to meet. Church buildings have been
demolished and pastors imprisoned for preaching the Gospel. Their government
says that everyone has religious freedom but the truth is that very few
congregations are permitted to operate in the larger cities.
Most of the believers meet in
small, covert underground congregations. Officially their government does
not want to let anyone in to the most devastated areas, however, they have
begun to allow some of the believers to minister to those still hurting from
the devastating cyclone that hit that land last May. Let us pray for the
strength, tenacity and health of the believers. Let us also pray that the
people of Myanmar will see Yeshua as their hope and salvation during this
incredibly terrible situation. Also, pray that the Lord will open the doors
to many communities to allow the believers to do even more ministry.
Beijing: Government
persecution directed at Christians grows worse by the day. House churches
are being closed, Christians are being detained, imprisoned, mistreated
and punished while their properties are being seized. They are monitored
constantly by security forces. At the same time it is being told that they
are becoming more open and tolerant of the believers, and that simply is not
true.
As if the problems with the
Government is not enough, the House Church leaders are having to deal with a
wicked Satanic cult known as Eastern Lightning. They infiltrate a House
Church and lay low for a little while pretending to be a sincere seeker
until they have the trust of the leadership, then they swing in to action
attempting to force conversion in to the EL.
Most of the House Church
members are not willing to convert, so they become victims of blackmail and
torture to convince them to change their minds. Thousands of believers have
already been tortured by the EL.
The EL refuse to accept the
authority of the Scriptures in fact they vehemently oppose it. They do not
believe in a Triune God either. They claim all of Yeshua's words are
useless because the Messiah has already come and "she" is a Chinese peasant
woman who has written a third testament to the Bible and written enough
hymns to fill 10 CDs. They teach that only by worshipping this woman can you
get to Heaven.
This cult steals all of its
followers from the Christian Church. Their handbook gives details on how to
spy out the House Churches and then infiltrate them to convert them. They
teach their followers to abandon their families and find a new family among
cult members.
Many who have opposed this
cult have been kidnapped, beaten, had their ear cut off or were murdered.
Those who refuse to submit to their authority have been put in sacks and
deposited in the river. They control their victims through drugs, violence
and eroticism. If they know that a House Church leader is having financial
hardship, which so many of them are, they offer them large sums of money to
convert. They also pay protection money to many of the leading local level
officials which makes it hard for the Beijing officials to crack down on
them as they are trying to do. They operate under a tight blanket of
security, constantly changing their meeting places and using only cell
phones.
Let us pray that the House
Church leaders will remain strong and courageous in contending for the
faith. Also that they be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power so they
may win the spiritual war they are in at this time.
Let us pray that through all
of this God's Name would be glorified in China and in the House Churches,
and as His Name is lifted up, He will draw all men unto Himself.
Pray that God will protect all
those whom they have kidnapped and are holding in unknown locations. Pray
that He will reveal their whereabouts and help them to escape from the snare
of the fowler. Ask Him to give comfort to their families. May they
experience the near Presence and love of God during these times, and may
they also receive the practical help they need as well, such as food, money,
or whatever it is they might need.
Pray against all of the
demonic filth of the EL cult. Ask the Lord to bind up the dark forces that
control it and release the captives. Ask God to be with the House Church
leaders as He was with Jeremiah. (Jeremiah 20:11).
Pray that more Bibles and
teaching books will be made available to the House Church leaders and
systematic training that they become stronger in the faith and less likely
to be deceived by cults like EL.
Pray that the Church in China
will learn and grow through all that has happened via this wicked cult. May
the dear Lord sharpen their discernment and give them His wisdom in all that
they are undertaking.
Please pray for Lydia who has
been gone from her home for two years, being held in an unknown place. Ask
the Lord to protect her, release her and return her to her husband, who is a
pastor, and her small children, who cry for her daily.
This cult is on the streets of
New York City in Chinatown and also in San Francisco passing out their
leaflets. Let us pray that they be exposed for what they truly are and run
out of here lickity split.

Prayer Alert
EXPLANATION
Momentous negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians are taking
place virtually unnoticed while we are preoccupied with United States
elections.
A lame duck United States administration, very low in popularity polls,
and an Israeli Prime Minister leaving office under a cloud of suspicion
for corruption should not be making far-reaching Middle East policy
decisions that will bind the next heads of State. Almost unnoticed by
the media, the map of Israel is being dramatically altered.
The State Department with steady pressure from Secretary of State
Condoleeza Rice is overseeing the demise of Israel. Twenty-two Arab
countries are pushing for yet another Arab state to be carved out of the
one and only tiny State of Israel. This is a recipe for Israeli
self-destruction. Under the cover of U.S. presidential convention
hoopla, Israels future is quietly and surreptitiously being determined.

Rice Visit: PA State Closer than Ever

(IsraelNN.com) Negotiations between Israel and PA continue at a "crazy"
pace, agreement on dividing Jerusalem is "closer than ever," and U.S.
Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice is pushing for a nearly-complete
agreement on a Palestinian state in Judea and Samaria by January. So
reports Aaron Klein of WorldNetDaily (WND).
Secretary Rice, completing a visit to the region today (Tuesday), has
been pressing Israel to sign a document by the end of the year that
would divide Jerusalem. Rice says Israel must agree to a Palestinian
state capital in Jerusalem - Israel`s own capital - and a full
Palestinian state in Judea, Samaria and Gaza.
Despite official Israeli government denials, Jerusalem is thus very much
on the negotiating table. The Shas Party, which has said it would quit
the government if Jerusalem were to be negotiated, remains firmly in the
government coalition.
The Rice Compromise: Israel Remains in Jerusalem for 1-5 Years
Klein quotes top diplomatic sources involved in the talks as saying that
Rice has been pushing for a "compromise" between Israel and the PA that
would involve Israel`s withdrawal from eastern Jerusalem, including the
Old City, within one to five years.
The Israeli team, led by Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Foreign Minister
Tzipi Livni, is willing to conclude an agreement on a Palestinian state
by the end of the year, but wants to leave talks to decide the fate of
Jerusalem for a later date. The PA team, however, wants a deal by
January on all core issues, including the Holy City.
The Rice compromise, the sources told WND, asks Israeli leaders to bend
and agree to promise sections of Jerusalem to the PA - but not to
actually withdraw before one to five years have passed. U.S. President
George W. Bush would then, just days before his term in office ends,
issue an official letter guaranteeing U.S. support for the agreement.
High Intensity Talks
WND`s Klein quoted an unnamed Palestinian Authority negotiator saying
that the intensity and frequency of Israeli-Palestinian talks in recent
weeks have been "crazy," and that the sides have been meeting on a daily
basis, usually at the highest levels. The negotiator further said
Jerusalem is being discussed by both sides, and that the two teams are
"closer than ever" on coming to an agreement on the status of the city.
"This claim was verified to WND by other diplomatic sources involved in
the negotiations," Klein wrote.
Reports of the past few months say that the Olmert-Livni negotiators are
prepared to give up well over 90% of Judea and Samaria, as well as land
for a "safe passage" between those areas and Gaza. This, despite the
results of the withdrawal from Gaza three years ago, which include the
takeover of the area by Hamas and incessant rocket attacks on nearby
Israeli areas.

In Israel: Ministries in Israel are
facing trying times! During the past
few weeks we have seen a new ruling by
the Ministry of Interior which adds to
the testing of the faith within the Body
in the Land, especially those from the
Nations who are not Israelis but are
called by God to stand and serve in the
Land.
For years volunteer visas were available
for key people in certain respected
Christian ministries that could be
renewed once a year for five years.
However, the new ruling states that
volunteers can now serve only two years
after which they must leave for at least
a year. And those who are applying for
such visas must do so from outside
Israel, which will mean going through a
bewildering amount of red tape, and
their ministries must promise they will
leave after two years.
This new ruling will make it very
difficult for some of the larger
ministries that depend on long term
volunteers who live there, learn the
culture and build relationships.
Let us pray for the many believing
volunteers who are unexpectedly having
to quickly leave Israel to have His
grace, encouragement and vision. Pray
that the evil one will not be able to
inject bitterness and hardness at what
seems like rejection. May they continue
to love and pray for Israel and that
those who are to return to Israel will
be shown the way to do so.
Let us pray for organizations God has
ordained to continue working in the Land
to find new paradigms for functioning in
the Land. Also pray that the Israeli
Body will take up the slack of work
which until now has been done by
volunteers from the Nations.
Let us pray, too, for righteous leaders
to be raised up into the Ministry of
Interior who will understand truly who
the friends of Israel are. Leaders who
will not discriminate against believers
who have been blessing the Land.
September 1st school begins in Israel.
Many of the youth and young adults have
taken it upon themselves to begin to
organize worship and prayer evenings
before September. Just last week they
organized a large worship evening in Tel
Aviv. This week there will be another
one. These gatherings were totally
organized by the youth as they called
their peers country-wide to come
together to worship the King and pray
for one another.
Let us pray for those young Israelis who
love God with all of their heart, mind
and soul. Pray, too, for the Pastors
and leaders who are so open to youth
leading and organizing such events.
Let us pray for a school year of
increased boldness, courage and wisdom
in sharing the Gospel of Yeshua in their
schools-and in allowing His Spirit to
lead them in excellence in their
studies.
Pray, too, for signs and wonders to
accompany the testimony of these youth,
young adults and their friends. Also for
new songs and expressions and venues of
praise and worship amongst these
believing young people.

The governments in these
particular countries are
monitoring all internet service,
therefore we are not taking our
lap tops. Please hold all

and Hong Kong. We are asking
that you pray for all of the
underground ministry leaders in
those countries that we will be
ministering to. Please pray for
the protection of all of us in
travel, our luggage, and
protection for all of them

attendance. May the blessed
Holy Spirit hover over us as we
gather and may He move mightily
to strengthen, encourage,
refresh and heal the dear
ones in each meeting, at each
venue. They have been through
so much and it is not getting
any better in that area.
Please remember all of our
brothers and sisters in each
country where they are
being persecuted for their faith
in Yeshua. Many in various
parts of the world are dying for
the sake of the Gospel. The way
things are going here in
America, it could very well be
us in the days just ahead if we,
as a nation, do not repent of
our wickedness and turn back to
the Almighty. Thank you again

As most of you know the persecution
of Messianic Jewish believers in
Israel has been increasing by leaps
and bounds. However, since Ami
Ortiz's family was targeted at
Purim, more and more attention has
been given to the plight of the
Believers in the Land and the public
is becoming more aware.
For those of you who are not aware,
at Purim what appeared to be a gift
basket was left at the door of the
Ortiz family home. When Ami (15
years old) picked it up, the bomb
that had been planted inside the
basket exploded and should have
taken Ami's life, but for the
Almighty! It is a miracle that Ami
lived, and the Lord has been putting
him back together in so many
miraculous ways, nevertheless, Ami
has known nothing but loss, pain,
depression etc.
This atrocity was not done by the
hands of enemy terrorists, but by
anti-missionaries in Israel. The
police confirmed that it was not
done by enemy terrorists, but would
say little more. The government, the
press and all other modes of
communication have kept this quiet.
Despite their efforts Believers all
around the world have been praying
for Ami and have brought a
tremendous amount of attention to
the case. All of us have been
praying that those who did this
horrible deed will be caught and
justice be done.
Just the other night Ami's dad,
David. was guest speaker at
a Messianic Congregation in Joppa.
After the evening had come to a
close and everyone was ready to go
home, a brother in the Lord came
over to David and said that he
wanted to help him with the
investigation. At first David was
guarded, but he listened to what the
brother had to say.
He told David that those who had
carried out this crime were going
through a terrible time because of
guilt and the direction for everyone
to pray is, "for their conscience to
be so loud that it will ring in
their ears until they come forward
and give themselves up."
He went on to tell David that in the
spirit there's a slab of solid rock
that is a stronghold, but through
the prayers of all the saints little
cracks are beginning to appear in
the slab of solid rock so everyone
must continue to direct prayer to
their situation for the cracks will
become bigger and bigger and there
will come a breakthrough in this
case.
Just a few days later another person
came forth and shared what they had
witnessed. The spouse became angry
not wanting them to become involved,
but the person said that their
conscience was louder than their
spouse's voice. The person also said
that when the time comes, and this
case is heard in a court of law,
they will be willing to testify. A
day or two later, someone else David
had not seen in years called to say
that they might be able to identify
a suspect's picture. So it seems
that Abba is continuing to confirm
that He is at work and those
responsible will be brought to
justice and the Name of Yeshua
glorified through it all.
These people have basically
confirmed for David what he and his
wife, Leah, believed that the Lord
had told them in the very beginning.
Those who are guilty of this crime
had meticulously plotted and planed
this atrocity, studying the family
when they were at home, and believed
that no one would remain alive to
testify that it had been a bombing.
However it backfired on them. In so
doing it has brought world wide
attention to the plight of the
Jewish believers in the Land and the
viciousness of the anti-missionaries
in the Land who will attempt to
destroy their own people just
because they believe that Yeshua is
the Messiah!
Let us all continue to pray in to
this case as the brother suggested
so those cracks will open wide and
the true perpetrators will be dealt
with, and eventually brought to
salvation. Thank God, too, for the
strength and courage that the
Almighty has given David Ortiz to
continue in the ministry, winning
souls for the Kingdom of God.

Sharron writes: "Thank you for the
emails (prayer alerts). The Lord has
been giving me Scripture references
about the gates. The one that He gave
me today was about going to the gates
and telling them to keep the Sabbath and
His Commandments and be blessed, or
disregard His warning and see an awful
fire that would consume the fortresses."
The last few email alerts that I have
sent out have been concerning vicious
terrorist attacks happening within the
gates or at the gates of the Old City in
Jerusalem. It all seems to be happening
in the heart of Jerusalem now.
Also, the Israeli Government is
contemplating relaxing the Shabbat Laws
in all areas of Jerusalem except where
the Orthodox and Ultra-Orthodox reside.
What came to my mind immediately was our
government relaxing the Blue Laws here
in the USA many years ago. In so
doing the Sabbath day became like every
other day and in the market place it
became business as usual. It was no
longer a day that was set apart as holy
unto the Lord.
We can't all go to the gates of
Jerusalem physically, but through
intercession we can go by the Spirit and
proclaim to the people of Israel, "Keep
the Sabbath and keep His Commandments
and be blessed, or disregard this
warning and see an awful fire that will
consume the fortresses."
We can go a step further and, through
our intercession, go to the gates of
America, and the gates of every city in
America and proclaim the very same Word
of the Lord to her people.
I believe that this is a stern warning
from the Lord that none of us are to
take lightly! Let us proclaim this Word
(warning) and proclaim His Holy Name as
well.

From Israel: The Israeli Government has
begun to tighten security around all
building sites in the city of Jerusalem, and
they are doing background checks on all of
the construction workers. This comes about
after two deadly bulldozer attacks on Jafa
Road and King David Street carried out by
Israeli Arabs. Let us pray that the Lord
will give Godly wisdom to those leaders who
are meeting today to decide what other
course of action must be taken in and about
Jerusalem
Today a large mob of Arab youth attacked
pedestrians and motorists with stones
near the Old City of Jerusalem. At least one
tourist was seriously wounded in the attack
which took place at the Gate of Flowers on
the northern side of the Old City, in front
of the American Colony Hotel.
Shortly before that attack, Israeli Police
arrested two Arab teenagers who were perched
on the outskirts of Jerusalem with rifles,
ammunition and telescopes.
Just yesterday Israeli soldiers manning a
military checkpoint found a 24 pound bomb in
the vehicle of a Palestinian Arab who was
trying to gain entrance in to Jerusalem.
Palestinian snipers kept Obama from going in
to Gaza yesterday. Despite the "cease-fire"
Palestinian snipers have continued to shoot
at Israeli farms and IDF soldiers.
An Israeli security guard at his post at the
Lion's Gate was critically wounded by an
Arab gunman in the Old City of Jerusalem
last week. He has been in a coma since then
and passed away yesterday. The other
security guard who was also attacked at that
time has recovered. The gunman who shot
them ran off in to a Muslim neighborhood and
has not been apprehended.
How sad to see all of these things taking
place right in the heart of Jerusalem.
Israeli security officials are asking for
authorization to use more severe methods of
punishment against Israeli Arabs who choose
to engage in terrorist activity against
Israel and the Jewish people.
Let us pray as the Lord leads. Pray for the
peace of Jerusalem and the salvation of all
Israel.

Prayer Alert II:
7/22/08
Just in from Israel: There has been another
terrorist attack using a bulldozer as it
happened just three weeks ago. An Arab
construction worker rammed a bus several times
on a busy Jerusalem street trying to overturn
it and ended up smashing at least five other
vehicles. Sixteen people have been wounded. A
nearby police officer finished what another man
tried to do, and that was take him out. The
shot fired by the police officer finally killed
him.
A
young Israeli security guard at a small railway
station in Northern Israel was severely beaten
in what police are now admitting was a terrorist
attack. The 20 year old guard was standing at
his post when a group of Arabs descended upon
him and struck him in the face. They then
demanded that he hand over his weapon until they
realized that he was unarmed, but continued to
beat him anyway. The guard managed to drag
himself to a near by naval base and then the
Arabs left. The guard is still hospitalized
with broken bones and internal bleeding. It was
obvious that what they were after was a gun.
Please pray for those who were wounded as well
as the bus driver who was left terribly shaken,
and the young security guard that he will heal
quickly.
These attacks are all taking place now right in
the heart of Jerusalem.

Through
the years the twenty-one days extending from the 17th of
Tammuz until the 8th of AV ( July 20th through August
10th this year) represented a time of bitterness and
destruction for the Jews. A time of great devastation
for Israel.
There have
been so many horrible things happen to the Jews during
this period of time, for instance: 586 BC
The Babylonian Army destroyed the Temple, 70 CE Titus
and the Roman Army destroyed the Temple, Rome began to
erect the pagan city on the site of the Temple
dedication, The first crusades began, Jews were expelled
from England, France, and Spain, Tens of thousands of
Polish Jews were massacred, Declarations of World War I
began, and plans for the annihilation of Jews were
drafted initiating World War II. I could go on and on
but I've shared enough so that you will understand why
the Jews repent before God and fast and pray during this
period of time. It is a real time of mourning for them.
The prophet Zechariah spoke of these dates in Zech. 8:1.
In Israel
they are calling a Daniel Fast (Daniel 1:12) from July
20th through August 10th. Remember that just two years
ago about 5000 missiles were fired from Lebanon by
Hezbullah, backed by Iran, in an attempt to destroy
Israel. Today there are many threats and much pressure
being applied to Israel as these dates are approaching.
Therefore they are asking all of us outside the Land to
please join them in this Daniel Fast for Israel and the
Jewish people.
As we fast
we will be joining together in the Spirit with 12
congregations from Tel Aviv, 12 congregations from the
North of Israel, and 12 congregations from the South of
Israel.
1. Pray
for God's protection over Israel
2. Pray
that God will open a fountain of salvation over Israel
and the surrounding Arab nations.
3.Pray for
the four winds of the Spirit to bring the Jews from all
nations back to Jerusalem and to their God and Messiah.
4. Pray
for God to raise up godly government leaders in
Israel, the Arab nations, the USA and all other nations,
who will recognize God's Covenant with Israel and stand
with her.
5. Pray
that the Lord will raise up leadership within the Church
who will do likewise.
I have had
a couple of people share their hearts with me for they
have received warnings of attacks on the Ninth of
Av this year. Several concerned New York City. So let
us pray in to this please. Pray as the Spirit of God
leads you.

This just in
from Israel - Israelis in the Sinai risk abduction! The
Prime Minister's Office Counter Terrorism Bureau issued a
heightened alert yesterday to Israelis traveling in the
Sinai or planning to travel to the Sinai, saying that they
have intelligence on militant groups intent to abduct
Israelis.
"Terrorists
groups who have been preparing to abduct Israelis in Sinai
are ready to carry out their plans with immediate effect."
For some time
the safety of Israelis visiting or residing in Sinai has
been subjected to a substantial threat. The Bureau is
recommending that all Israelis stay out of Sinai and that
those who are currently there leave immediately.
Please if you
have Israeli friends or family who reside there or are
planning to go there, give them this message. Thank you!

Prayer Alert:
7/15/08
Since March 10th,
when Tibet began to hold peaceful protests of the anniversary of
China's occupation, everything began to escalate that led to
widespread violence across the city and that helped to rekindle
pro-independence sentiment.
Tibetans are not
only hoping to keep it alive, but they are also looking for
hope. Lee DeYoung of Word's of Hope says, "The broadcast that
Words of Hope is involved in every night continues to broadcast
hope and the Good News of the Gospel of Yeshua to the Tibetan
people."
He went on to
say, "In the past China banned Tibetan people from listening to
foreign stations, but from the number of testimonies we are
receiving it is obvious that the Tibetan people are listening
quietly. Although the broadcasts are not political, we feature
many things that keep the Tibetan listeners encouraged. We call
it the "Yeshu" program and we are praying that it will bear much
fruit. In the last year we have received more than 20,000
responses."
Pray that doors
will open for Christian workers to come in to the country. Then
pray that one day soon we will see the Tibetans sing, dance, and
worship before the Throne of God.
Let us pray, too,
for those traumatized as a result of the earthquake. Pray for
all those trying to bring comfort and support to the area
affected by the earthquake. Ask the Lord to give them wisdom as
they reach out to these people.
Let us pray
for Tibet. They are in a crisis with little or no human
hope on the horizon. Their situation has been difficult for
a long time. They are mostly Buddhists and one of the most
unreached people groups in the world. Only a few hundred
Christians live among seven to eight million Tibetans. Many
live in poor conditions and they feel suppressed and
marginalized in their own land. The recent earthquake has
brought loss to many, and the recent riots have only made
the situation worse.
Let us pray
that Yeshua will reveal Himself to these people and show
them that He can give them abundant life, true hope and
unconditional love.
Let us pray
for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit on Tibet and the

Pray that
Christians will show through works of love and power that He
cares for the poor and those who are sick. Pray, too, that
Christians will be a source of healing in relationships.
Pray that the
Chinese Church will reach out to these people in humility
and love. Some ethnic groups in Nepal, closely related to
the Tibetans, have have had many people coming to the Lord.
Pray that they will be able to reach across the border with
the Gospel.

I have just received a
request from Precept Ministries calling the Body of Messiah to
corporate prayer for America. Kay Arthur writes, "America has
turned its back on its rich spiritual heritage that once encouraged
a fear of God- respect and trust of Him-and a life of morality
directed by the conviction that the Bible is the Word of God and
should be honored as such in all matters of life.
Kay went on to say,
"Our society has greatly degenerated with each passing year,
removing the traditional acknowledgement of God from public places
and public forums, demeaning those who hold to the precepts of God,
redefining the meaning of family, tolerating the corruption of
morality even among its leadership and ignoring the consequences,
the judgments of God as seen in the natural disasters and in the
removal of His sovereign hand of protection from this nation. We
have polluted the land with the blood of the unborn. This nation
has never before sunk so low! Everyone is doing what is right in his
or her own eyes. Only the mercy of Almighty God can save us from
ourselves and the time is critical."
"We are calling those
who fear God to come together for corporate prayer every Thursday
from 12:00 noon until 1:00 PM. Gather together in Houses of
Worship, places of business or any place where the doors are opened
for you to gather together to pray. Let us repent of the sins of our
nation and ask Him to rend the Heavens and come down once again in
His mercy and His lovingkindness to visit this nation and turn our
hearts back to a fear of God as He is revealed in His Holy Word, the
Bible."
Let us pray that the
Lord Himself, by His Spirit, will clearly direct our prayers. Let
us begin now and pray each day at noon until the November election.
Let there be no competition, but a joining together in prayer.
Pray that as we gather
together to cry out for mercy that multitudes will be convicted of
their sins and turn to Him to begin walking righteously before Him.
This is a grassroots
movement which means it begins with people just like yourself. Many
groups are already praying. Take this prayer alert to Him and lay it
out before Him and ask Him what your part is in getting corporate

There are many terror
threats being made concerning the Olympics in China. These bring back
memories of the Munich Massacre when so many young Jewish athletes were
murdered at the hands of terrorists. In the Muslim dominated province of
Xinjiang, which is a hotbed of political violence, they have closed down
41 "illegal places of worship" all mosques. According to the Police
Chief these were places used as training ground for conducting a "holy
war". They also arrested 82 suspected terrorists.
Chinese police claim to
have foiled five plots against the Olympic games already. The police
chief of Urumqi was quoted as saying that his forces had detained 66
"gang members." Just a couple of nights ago police shot and killed five
people in Xinjiang who were accused of similar crimes. The five were
armed with knives. Plots to kidnap athletes, carry out suicide attacks
and hijack an airplane have also been uncovered.
No matter how you feel
about the Olympics, let us pray, especially for all of the athletes
taking part in the Olympics in China next month. Also for all of the
heads of state who will be attending the opening ceremonies in support
of their countries respective athletes. Pray that the dear Lord will
continue to cause these threats and plots to be exposed now and
throughout the event. Pray, too, for protection for all those traveling
to and from the games.

As we have discussed
before, there is a whole lot of illegal religious discrimination going
on in Israel directed at the Messianic Jews. It is also coming against
those who are wanting to make Aliyah. I am going to share with you a
few cases that really need our prayers at this time.
First of all, the case
involving Ami Ortiz, a fifteen year old Messianic Jew, still needs a lot
of prayer. This dear brother had a bomb blow up in his arms at Purim
when he picked up what looked to be a gift basket that had been left on
their door step. The basket contained a bomb hidden beneath the
goodies, and when it exploded in Ami's arms it left his
body horribly damaged. He is still undergoing one surgery after the
other and has at least five more to go. They are still pulling shrapnel
from his body during each operation.
After lengthy and detailed
investigation, it has been ruled out that it was done by Palestinian
terrorists/ It is believed to have been done by some of the
anti-missionary forces at work in Israel because they had been harrasing
this family for quite some time, because Ami's father is a Messianic
Pastor who has led many Jews and Arabs to the accept Yeshua as their
Messiah.
This case has been very
well covered up by the media in Israel, however just recently the
Israeli Ministry of Homeland Security has appointed a special team of
investigators to the case. Let us pray that this team uncover the
source of the problem and speak forth the truth of the matter. May the
ones who were responsible for such a horrific violent act be exposed and
justice be done. Such viciousness must be stopped!
Steven Cohen first
submitted his application for Israeli citizenship in the Summer of 2007.
Steven submitted all of the proper documentation which showed that he
was eligible to receive citizenship under the Law of Return for his
grandfather was Jewish.
When he submitted his
documentation to the Ministry of the Interior he was told that his
documents were more than sufficient to secure his citizenship. He was
told that the process would take just a few weeks. When that time had
expired, he was summoned to the Ministry of Interior once again and told
that his application had been denied. He immediately wrote to the
Jewish Agency to ask why this had happened, and as of today this letter
still has not been answered.
At this time his case is
being handled by the Jerusalem Institute of Justice who say that they
should be able to process a relatively quick solution based on a recent
Supreme Court ruling in April of 2008. Let us all pray for divine
intervention in this case to the point that Steven will very quickly win
his case and also receive citizenship helping to pave the way for other
Jewish believers who want to obey the Lord's call to come home to
Israel.
Abe Perlman is another
Messianic Jewish believer, whose father was Jewish, trying to make
aliyah under the Law of Return. At one point he was called to the
Ministry of Interior and asked some very intrusive questions concerning
all of his religious convictions. In this case as well, the Ministry
of Interior has refused to grant him citizenship, saying that he is not
Jewish, inspite of the Supreme Court ruling to the contrary. Abe's case
has been appealed and is now pending. Please pray for divine
intervention and that he receive his citizenship for the attorneys say
that he is more than eligible.
Joshua Abramson, a
Messianic Jewish believer submitted all of his documentation to the
Ministry of Interior applying for citizenship under the Law of Return.
After a lengthy period of time he received notice from the Ministry of
Interior that his documentation did not prove his Jewishness. Attorneys
from the Jerusalem Institute of Justice have made numerous inquiries of
the Ministry of Interior and to date they have all gone unanswered.
Joshua's appeal is pending, so let us pray once again for divine
intervention so that all of these dear brothers can receive their
citizenship in Israel.
Keep in mind that the
Ministry of Interior is run by Religious Jews who do not want Messianic
Jewish believers in the Land, however, they have just as much right to
be there as anyone else. The Supreme Court ruled and we must pray that
even the Ministry of Interior will have to abide by that decision and
grant these brothers their citizenship.
Please pray much for the
staff at the Jerusalem Institute of Justice. May Abba grant them the
godly wisdom and favor that they need to win these cases, and in so
doing pave the way for many to come home to Israel to be a blessing to
the Land and her people. Thank you all for praying.

Prayer Alert:
I have just
heard from Cheryl and she is rejoicing. She has asked that I thank each and
every one of you for your prayers. Her visa as a journalist in Israel has
been renewed for another year. Praise His Holy Name! Another victory for
Yeshua!
She has also
been led to an apartment building so that she can relocate in a more secure
community. There are four apartments in the building and they are all
Believers in Yeshua, which will be a real blessing for her, for she has been
terribly harassed by the anti-missionaries. Her car was vandalized and a
goat head was left at her door among many other such things. It has not been
easy for Cheryl just as it is not easy for any of the Jewish Believers in
Yeshua. Please try to remember to pray for them all.
This Thursday
the Homosexuals are holding a Gay Pride Parade in the streets of Jerusalem.
Jerusalem Mayor Uri Lupoliansky has asked the Supreme Court to issue an
injunction against it explaining that the march offends public
sensibilities. Let us pray for Divine Intervention here as well, even
though many involved in the Tourism Industry there has paved the way for
them to do their thing, even encouraging them to come. My heart aches for
those who find it offensive and still have it pushed on their communities,
just as is the case here in America. Let us ask the Lord to bless the Mayor
for making a bold stand in the face of much demonic pressure.
Jews in both
Canada and Latin America have been singled out on the Hezbollah hit list of
the terrorists cells. Their agents have been conducting surveillance on the
Israeli Embassy in Ottawa and on the Toronto synagogues.
While Gaza
terrorists are busy replenishing their arms and ammunition during the
temporary truce that began Thursday morning, Hamas Television is
broadcasting a training video that teaches their youth how to kidnap IDF
soldiers.
While the
Israeli Government and their Media tries to hide the persecution that is
taking place against Jewish Believers in Yeshua in Israel, Time Magazine has
appeared and interviewed Ami Ortiz and his family after the horrible Purim
Day bomb exploded doing much physical and emotional harm to Ami, his family
and their home. The culprits were anti-missionaries and the Government and
Media knows exactly who they are but continue to hide the fact. Please
remember to pray for all of the Jewish Believers in Yeshua in Israel for
they are truly on the front lines.
The sad part
of it is that there are many different beliefs among the Jewish people in
Israel. There are Conservative Jews, Reformed Jews, Orthodox Jews, Secular
Jews, Ultra Orthodox Jews , Atheistic Jews, and many others. Even Jews who
believe that Rabbi Schneerson was the Messiah. However, the only ones who
face such horrid persecution for their beliefs are those who have recognized
Yeshua as their Messiah and serve Him.
Let us pray
for those who are being persecuted for their faith in Yeshua all over the
world. Many are dying for their faith in Him daily. Pray, too, for all of
His widows and Orphans who are crying out for His help. These are dangerous
times!

As many of you
know, Condi Rice is back in Israel to apply more pressure on
Israel to stop all building within Jerusalem and to move
toward establishment of a Palestinian State on Israeli soil
before President Bush leaves office. In so many newspapers
comments have been made concerning her harshness of language.
It seems to be increasingly difficult for her to hide her true
feelings toward Israel and the Jewish people living there.
Every time the
Jewish Nation begins to build additional housing within
Jerusalem, Condi Rice makes it an international cause of
complaint. Let us pray that both she and President Bush
will consult American Law, The Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995
setting forth the policy of the United States that Jerusalem
should remain an undivided city and that Jerusalem should be
recognized as the capital of the State of Israel.
Let us intercede
for spiritual statesmen and for adherence to Biblical revelation
and principles in the formulation and execution of foreign
policy, especially toward Israel and Jerusalem.
Let us also
continue to pray for the revelation of Yeshua as Messiah
throughout the Middle East and the Peace of Jerusalem.
Let us pray for
all of our national leadership, that every decision, action or
plan to pressure Israel to give up land or evacuate her
people from any territory will be frustrated and abandoned.
May God raise up
leaders in the United States and Israel who would support His
End Time plans plans and purposes for the people of Israel.
Let us thank the
Almighty for tourism in Israel has now broken all records! To
God be the glory!
Where Iraq is
concerned, let us pray for wisdom and strategy to be granted to
the United States Commanders in Iraq.
Let us pray that

Please pray for Bob
Long who has been working underground in Cuba for quite some time.
He has just been arrested by the Cuban Government. The grounds for
his arrest have not yet been made known, but we do know they had
been watching his house very closely. They are not allowing him to
make any contact with his wife and family, and they have thoroughly
searched his house and confiscated his computer. We are being told
that his wife and children are safe, and they are strong in faith,
but nevertheless, they must be covered in prayer as we cover Bob in
prayer.
Let us pray for
confusion and division among the Communist officials and bureaucrats
at every level, resulting in Bob's quick release. Ask the Lord for
divine intervention.
Pray that Bob will
maintain divine health, and be given wisdom and courage. Let bus
pray that this arrest is not part of any sort of drag net of arrests
being planned against the other leaders on that island. pray, too,
that all of the Believers on the Island will remain strong in faith
and remain bold in their witness.
Pray, too, that the
persecution of Believers in Cuba be made known world wide for the
media is speaking much of the "new freedom" in Cuba since Fidel's
brother took the helm and is allowing the people to have cell
phones. Those in places of Christian leadership are still being
harassed and arrested yet today.
Last but not least,
let us pray that the Communist Regime in Cuba fall and a true
Constitutional Government be formed. Pray that the Cubans see the
days of dictators, socialists, communists and false religions come
to an end.

Prayer Alert:
5/24/08
While some aid is getting
through to help the cyclone-affected areas of Myanmar, it is estimated
that only about one-fourth of the survivors have received help. UN
General Secretary Ban Ki-moon is in the country at this time to meet
with General Than Shwe, the top national leader, to urge that relief
from the international community be allowed to flow throughout the
nation. Please pray for a favorable response and that people will
receive the help they need wherever they are located.
In China, about five
million people are homeless and a huge number of tents will be needed.
Please continue to hold this situation in prayer as well. Please pray
for all of the humanitarian agencies that are trying to meet these vast
needs in both countries.
Next week there will be
two national prayer initiatives happening. John Robb will be meeting
with Somali Believers in Kenya to pray for their nation. Somalia has
been wracked with conflict since 1991. About a dozen peace efforts have
collapsed. The current warring parties will be meeting again on May 31,
which is the last day for the prayer initiative. Please pray for an
effective prayer initiative as well as for productive peace talks that
enable the nation to recover.
The Democratic Republic of
Congo (Zaire) especially needs God's healing touch. Since 1996 when a
succession of wars and conflicts erupted, estimates are that up to five
million have perished through disease, starvation and violence. This is
a staggering and horrid projection-more than five times the number who
died in the Rwandan genocide, yet it scarcely is made mention of in the
media. This Monday Christian leaders from all eleven provinces as well
as some political officials will gather in the nation's capitol, Kin
shasha, with an international team of prayer leaders to seek the Lord
for His solution. Please pray for all of the participants:
That the right people will
be able to travel safely and participate in this initiative, coming with
their hearts prepared to respond to the Lord.
For the manifest
Presence and power of the Holy Spirit to guide them in facilitating the
gathering in such a way that His purposes will be accomplished.
For genuine repentance and
reconciliation to occur so that His healing may come to this vast
potential-filled land according to His promise in II Chronicles 7:14.
For true peace and
stability to come, enabling an end to corruption, tribalism, and violent
conflict, all of which have hindered the country from moving forward
into its destiny.

Bibles that we distributed on our recent Ethiopia medical outreach to over
1,000 new Jewish Believers. It appears that the Bibles were taken and in
some cases the believers have been forced to give them up.
"I also
received an urgent call last night from our representatives in Ethiopia to
inform me that the two leaders of the Beta Israel synagogue that came to
faith in Yeshua and invited me to speak before their congregation on Shabbat
have been arrested on false charges, without a trial or due process of the
justice system. They have been sentenced to 3 years in prison.
"I have
dispatched our representative in Addis Ababa to immediately travel to Gondar
to investigate and engage a lawyer.
" Jewish Voice
has committed to covering all legal expenses to free these innocent men.
Your urgent prayer is needed!!!
Please pray
fervently that these anti-missionaries would have an encounter with the Lord
like Paul did on the Road to Damascus! They are zealous but without
knowledge of Yeshua.
The elder of
the Beta Israel who is in prison at this moment had a supernatural vision of
Yeshua. Pray that it sustains him and that he can share boldly his new
faith in his Messiah.
Pray for an
outpouring of the Holy Spirit as in gthe Book of Acts rather than hinder the
Gospel. May this persecution spark revival.
Pray against
the fear of man! Pray that the new Believers will encourage one another and
stand strong and together.
Pray for
justice to be done and His favor upon the leaders and the attorneys
representing them.
Note: The
very same thing just happened in Israel. The anti-missionaries went house
to house collecting the Bibles that Jews for Jesus had distributed in an
Orthodox neighborhood and then burnt them.

Holy Father, in a world where so many are hungry,
You have given us food in abundance.

Women United In Prayer has written asking us to join them in praying for Ethiopia, West Africa. Prayer is crucial for another opposition party has announced that they will boycott a second round of elections being held because of rigging and intimidation. Evangelicals, who make up about 20% of the population in the area, are facing severe persecution. Attacks against Believers have risen in Muslim dominated areas as militants began purging the Believers. A group of radical Muslims who are determined to rid the area of the "shame of Christianity" came against the Believers as they were gathered together in worship. At least two of the Believers were killed and dozens more were wounded.
Let us pray for peaceful and fair elections, and that those who will honor God and rule justly will be elected. Pray that the authorities will oppose those who use violence in the name of religion, and for those who are using violence to be brought to justice. Let us also pray that the Lord will strengthen, encourage and protect the Believers, and that they will continue to be a witness for Christ in spite of the persecution.
We are being asked to pray for the small West African nation of Benin as they too, have had violence erupting around their election process. A former Muslim, Yayi, was elected in 2006 and is now an evangelical Christian. His expertise is in economics and his desire is to help his country out of poverty.
Let us pray for Yayi to have integrity and wisdom in leadership. Also that their election process will be free of all violence and those who will honor the Almighty and rule righteously will be elected. Yayi is calling for peaceful, transparent, just and credible elections. Thousands of representatives will be elected across the country and Yayi said that he wants the elections to be a celebration of democracy.
Let us pray that Yayi will be such a witness for Yeshua that many will see, understand and open their hearts to Him. Pray, too, that the Believers will witness to the Muslims who make up about 20% of the population in Benin.
Last, but certainly not least, there is a desperate cry from the hearts of those in Zimbabwe. They are crying out to Believers from around the world to pray for them for the situation is critical. The nation is teetering on the brink of human disaster. There has been horrible violence there surrounding their election process. There has been much juggling of election results, deceit, corruption, and oppression. Let us pray that the Lord will turn their situation around also, and that they come to know righteousness, joy, peace, compassion, honesty, justice, and freedom from fear and want. God bless you as you pray for all of these who are hurting and trying to function in the midst of horrible violence and persecution.
Urgent Prayer Alert:

Please be watchful, and in prayer for our troops, especially those in Iraq and Afghanistan, right now. A man claiming to be the leader of Al Qaeda in Iraq has vowed to launch a month long offensive against U.S. troops. He said this past Saturday, "We call on our beloved ones .. that each unit should present the head of an American as a gift to the charlatan Bush." He made clear that the month was to begin Saturday as his message was released. The release of his message came on the heels of several deadly attacks the past few days. It has also been confirmed that he is who he says that he is.
Algeria - There is a crackdown on Christian practices taking place that is causing alarming deterioration of religious freedom. The authorities are cracking down using a decree set in place in 2006 which seems to criminalize any initiative to convert Muslims to another religion or shake the faith of a Muslim. The execution of this decree has already brought about a number of convictions and expulsions.
Let us pray that Abba will see to it that Algeria be held accountable for the loss of religious freedom and harsh persecution of those in the minority, namely Christians. Let us also be in prayer for the thousands of Believers who are on the ground in Muslim nations bringing forth the Gospel through Christian television. They are often at great risk as they do so.
Xinjiang, China - This is the western most province of China. Like indigenous Christians in all countries with a Muslim majority, Believers there are being targeted from all sides. They are being repressed by the Chinese Communist Party, as in all of China now, an Islamic Revival since the Afghanistan War began and the advancement of Wahhabism by Saudi Arabia. The Constitution of this autonomous region prohibits the Believers from attending Communist China Party approved churches, and they prohibit them from worshipping outside the CCP approved churches. Bibles are not printed in the Uighur language either. There have been three of these Believers arrested in the last few months, and a number of businesses that were run by these Believers have been shut down.
There seems to be a concerted effort by the government to shut down the leadership of the Uighur church, because they have grown to the place where the local government cannot control it. They fear whatever they cannot control, especially in the charged atmosphere of China's Muslim Northwest.
Let us pray for those who have been arrested that Abba will sustain them, protect them, their families and fellowships. Ask Him to use this time to increase their faith, build their character and provide justice. Let us ask Abba to infiltrate the CCP so it will come to understand that Believers are patriotic and are not their enemy. Ask Him to give them discernment between those who are real security threats and humble Believers who simply want liberty.
I hear a cry like that of a woman in labor, the groans of a woman giving birth to her first child.

I have exciting news to tell you that WE WON THE SUPREME COURT CASE! To be more exact, YESHUA WON! This case was a landmark precedent setting case which gave twelve families their citizenship, including me. According to Calev Myers the lawyer representing our case this precedent states that, "being a Messianic Jew does not prevent one from receiving citizenship in Israel under the Law of Return or the Law of Citizenship, if one is a descendent of Jews on one's father's side (and thus not Jewish according to halacha)."
My personal case would be under the "Law of Citizenship", while the other cases are under the "Law of Return."
I should be receiving my citizenship within the next couple of weeks if the Ministry of Interior respects the decision of the Supreme Court which their lawyer has promised to do.
Praise God for His victory for the messianic body of Messiah for future cases and specifically for us and the other eleven families! God is faithful!
Please pray for the Ministry of Interior to completely finish the citizenship process for me in the next coming weeks without delay or beauracracy.

Justice in Israel Important Legal Victory In a landmark decision today, the Supreme Court of Israel ratified a settlement between twelve Messianic Jewish believers and the State of Israel, which states that being a Messianic Jew does not prevent one from receiving citizenship in Israel under the Law of Return or the Law of Citizenship, if one is a descendent of Jews on one's father's side (and thus not Jewish according to halacha). This Supreme Court decision brought an end to a legal battle that has carried on for two and a half years. The applicants were represented by Yuval Grayevsky and Calev Myers from the offices of Yehuda Raveh & Co., and their legal costs were subsidized by the Jerusalem Institute of Justice. All twelve of the applicants were denied citizenship solely based on grounds that they belong to the Messianic Jewish community. Most of them received letters stating that they would not receive citizenship because they "commit missionary activity". One of the applicants was told by a clerk at the Ministry of Interior that because she "committed missionary activity", she is "acting against the interests of the State of Israel and against the Jewish people". These allegations are not only untrue, but they also do not constitute legal grounds to deny one's right to immigrate to Israel. This important victory paves the way for persons who have Jewish ancestry on their father's side to immigrate to Israel freely, whether or not they belong to the Messianic Jewish community. This is yet another battle won in our war to establish equality in Israel for the Messianic Jewish community just like every other legitimate stream of faith within the Jewish world. Social Justice On this same day, which marks an important legal victory, the Jerusalem Institute of Justice also significantly advanced social justice in the nation of Israel. Through our annual kimcha d'pischa project, we distributed Passover packages to 680 impoverished families living in Israel. Each package contained everything a family needs to enjoy this important holiday with dignity, including matzot, matza flour, potato flour, sugar, canned goods, wine, soft drinks, tea, coffee, cookies, sugar and other basic food goods. We believe that the biblical concept of justice, or tzedek, encompasses acts of charity, or tzadaka, namely not turning away our ear from the cries of the poor and needy in our society. Update on Ami Ortiz Many of you have asked for an update on the condition of Ami Ortiz, the Messianic youth who was injured in a hate-crime bombing several weeks ago. Ami's physical wounds are healing well and he was able to walk around his room today for the first time since he was hospitalized. Ami will be undergoing a vascular operation in his right forearm for the removal of an abscess. Once this is completed, he will start physical therapy. The doctors hope that he will be back to full physical capacity within a year and a half. Please continue to pray for emotional healing for the whole family. Prayer Points:
This came in from Elisabeth after our Prayer Alert went out this morning concerning prayer for those Believers who are being persecuted for His Name's sake.
Shared suffering:
Pray that Believers who are not persecuted may learn to identify with the sufferings of those who are. Also, pray that the Holy Spirit would prompt us to do what we would hope that others would do for us in a similar set of circumstances. (Heb. 13:3).
Worship shakes things up:
Pray that prisons will be places for worship and pulpits for the Word of God so that prisoners and jailers alike are saved. (Acts 16:25-31).
Grace to forgive:
Pray that Believers who are beaten and tortured may have grace to forgive. (Acts 7:57-60).
Rejoice and be glad:
Pray that those who are insulted and falsely accused because of Yahshua would be reminded of the great reward awaiting them in Heaven and be given undiminished joy on account of it. (Matt, 5:11-12)
Perseverance:
Pray that Abba's children will remain faithful even when it seems that all of His promises have failed. (Heb.11:39, Gal 6:9).
Release:
Pray that Abba would send His angels to release those held. (Acts 12:5-8)
He sees me:
Pray for imprisoned Believers to be comforted in their loneliness and despair by the Presence of the Holy Spirit. (Ps. 139:8-11).
Repentance:
Pray that the Lord would pour out His grace so abundantly on the perpetrators of violent persecution that they, like Paul, would repent of their sin and turn to the Living God. (I Tim. 1:13-14).

Prayer Alert:
4/9/08
Several weeks ago the Lord spoke to me about calling more attention to the needs of the Persecuted Church when putting up prayer alerts for the Body of Messiah. He had spoken to me several times before that, sharing His heart for those who are suffering and even laying down their lives for His Names sake. He said that none of us pray enough for the Persecuted Church or His widows and orphans, who are crying out to Him for help. He even went so far as to say that every one of us needs to repent for caring so little for those who are hurting so much.
I will begin to post such needs as they are brought to my attention and ask that you please pray as He leads in each case. We all need to remember that in the days ahead, we may be among those who are crying out for mercy.
